Summary: I never was much of a Cake Mania fan since trying one of the first ones that had come out. I tend not to like the TM games where you have to assemble the food too much (such as multi-layer cakes, etc). However, that's just one portion of this game. True, it is the biggest portion but there is also a clothing boutique which plays very similar to a hidden jewel of a game, Shop-n-Spree (though that is much more relaxing than this is!
Summary: I enjoyed this installment of the Cake Mania series more than I have enjoyed any Cake Mania since the original! I actually finished this one and went back to make sure I received expert on all the levels. To me, the largest improvement was the pacing; the game was consistently challenging. And the upgrades didn't take forever to purchase. In previous games I grew increasingly tired of impossible levels & unreachable upgrades. I loved the other locations as well.
Summary: This game is ok. One thing that bugs me is when you change screens, the page seems to swirl out but it's not an actual transition, I think it's a graphic because it never fully transitions and I always think my computer is freezing. There's also way too much clicking from location to location, etc. And like someone else said, Jill's voice is annoying. She's still impossibly beautiful and I love the shoes she's wearing in the bakery level screen so I can get over it.
Summary: I haven't played every installment in the cake mania series but this one just does not seem to be a great as the others were. I didn't particularly like Jill's voice, for one thing. The graphics are still top notch, and this version plays just like the others--- customers place cake orders which you fill.
Summary: This is really three games in one: You play the standard Cake Mania game with Jill and Jack, along with a time management/hidden object combo in Risha's Boutique, and a Pizza creation game. My favourite of the three was Risha's Boutique where the pace does get frenetic once you hit a certain level, and things get more interesting as Yetis freeze customers, Ninjas prevent interaction, and the Cat Lady changes them into mimes, also changing their orders.
Summary: I really liked the focus test. Bakery is still the best but fashion shop was a close second. I love how Jack breaks the equipment in the bakery. LOL. Revised for the full game - This game was a lot of fun. Fashion shop did get frantic though. I loved it.
Summary: Wow, this game is going to be great! I've only seen the Beta so far, but it's got 2 new shops that are really fun as well as the traditional bakery. The bakery has a new station where Jill (who is too pregnant to run around after a few levels) can sit and put fruit on cakes. It's a fun new mechanic. There's a fashion shop that's like a speed hidden object game. You have to find the clothing customers want really quickly and it's surprisingly fun!
