Do not buy this!

Morley Dotes "morleydotes", Amazon
4 November 2011
  • Summary: Update November 7, 2011: I received confirmation from Amazon that they got my return, then a few hours later received confirmation that the seller refunded the money. Very fast action on part of the seller, and I would rate the seller 5 stars for such a quick response. After this experience, I feel the seller is reputable and cares about their customer. Thank you. My son wanted this game, and I bought it for him...

I give this a rating of 1 because there is no Zero

Gregory M. Spitzer "Mark Spitzer", Amazon
30 October 2011
  • Summary: I intalled this on Windows Vista 64 Bit. This appears to be a poorly converted console game. There was no Joystick support apparent in the game menus. There was not even an exit program, or quit option in the game. It would not go online because it wanted an update. I updated the program to version 1.1 and still was unable to go online because it reported the EA server was down. Still no Joystick or Exit/Quit button in game.

Frustrating, not fun

Peter Drake, Amazon
25 November 2010
  • Summary: I enjoyed the previous Burnout games on the XBOX, so when I bought a new gaming rig, this title seemed like a natural. Alas, I was disappointed. The menus are fantastically awkward. For example, every time you start the game, you must log into the on-line system, which requires typing in your login and password. You cannot do this using just the keyboard; you have to fill in one field, hit return, click on the next field with the mouse, and so on.

Limited Activations DRM

Erich Maria Remarque, Amazon
27 February 2009
  • Summary: This game comes with Securom, requires online activation, and limits the number of times you can install it. It's basically a rental because the game will stop to function in the future because of its DRM. If you value your money, then skip this game.

IF IT'S BURNING, IT CAN'T BE PARADISE...

NeuroSplicer, Amazon
6 February 2009
  • Summary: If the list of the Seven Deadly Sins were compiled today, make no mistake: trying to spread SecuROM would be one of them. Because it would combine Greed with Pride - not to mention Idiocy. Does it protect against piracy? NO. Pirate groups had cracked this even...before its official release. If I know this by simply using Google, you think EA geniuses may not?

Complimentary virus included with game

Brian W., Amazon
3 February 2009
  • Summary: This game contains the virus that is SecuROM. Once installed it can NOT be removed by the user and requires that you either download and run the SecuROM virus removal utility or completely reformat your hard drive and reinstall your entire operating system. You will unwittingly install SecuROM as soon as you launch the game. You will also have to activate this game, which really makes it into a rental and not a purchase since your activations are limited.
