Summary: not suited to people without internet connections, it can be played offline but many missions and bosses require group tactics, the only way to beat them as single player is to grind until your grossly overpowered and even then its a challange.
Summary: Not really. Just never was able to download and install. Steam was no help. Can't return it. Don't know what to do. This sure colors my desire to buy more Steam stuff. You buy it. You get it. You can't use it. What?
Summary: Borderlands DLC is similar to cash-grab, mobile techniques. Do you need this? Unless you have friends that you play with and run through the game without every getting bored, then grab it (during a sale) Otherwise, don't feed the machine.
Summary: Originally Gearbox marketed this as including 'all future DLC'. That was changed after I had already purchased to say it would only include certain ones, which is complete BS. I can't comment on how Amazon had worded it, as I bought without reading here once I had reviewed Gearbox's info on it.
Summary: My friend and I bought this game for the co-op play. The graphics look ridiculous (cartoony), and you spend the whole game looting things to get more ammo, which you run out of killing 2 bad guys. Game it 2 stars cuz there was no lag at least.
Summary: After much effort, I have not found a way to download the DLC for this game. Some of the DLC that the GOTY edition "includes" is not in the downloaded product and can't be downloaded on steam or amazon. From the forums it sounds like everyone else who bought it had the same issue.
Summary: We ordered the disc thinking that a download would not be nessecary(due to our location internet is limited), actually even spoke to a customer service rep about it because we had originally purchased the online downloadable game which amazon did take back.
Summary: I did not like this game. It's basically an FPS torchlight - mindless hack and slash for an artificially inflated number of lootable items. I'd much prefer a good story with great characters and immersive combat. But that's not Borderlands at all.
Summary: I am a huge fan of Borderlands and its sequel and I really felt that the DLC offerings were fair with the first game. I personally feel that the movement by these companies to offer DLC that is clearly ripped from the game or even worse not included in a season pass is rather ludicrous.
