Summary: I looked forward to playing this racing game on three screens with a steering wheel. Sadly this racing game doesn't support either. The lack of three screen support would be acceptable(lets face it not all games support this) but the lack of steering wheel support for racing game isn't acceptable. If you enjoy driving games using the keyboard or some type of xbox style controller knock your self out.
Summary: I'm not calling the game garbage because of the graphics or anything like that but I can't give it any rating higher than 1 and wish I could rate it lower than that. I'm calling it garbage because of the fact that you can't change the keyboard controls. All of my racing games allow you to change your keyboard settings and I like to have the UP,DOWN,LEFT & RIGHT keys for driving, the B key for looking behind, the SPACEBAR for games that have Nitro or Boost and the C key...
Summary: Normally, I don't write a review, but I really hope to save other people the $35. There is a lot of potential in this game, but unfortunately the problems on the PC version of the game are crippling. From what many other people have been saying (here and elsewhere), you're probably best off with an XBOX version of this game. I got the game shortly after it was released in May. Here we are two months later and no substantial patches to the PC version.
Summary: The only controller it's compatible with is the xbox 360 controller for the PC which I do not own, nor can I use.
Cons: The inability to alter the controls of this game has made it impossible for those of us with special needs to configure the game to work with our custom equipment. I.E. my half QWERTY keyboard...
Summary: Atleast the producers of Mario Kart allowed custom controls.
Cons: Why on earth did they make this for the PC when it's still only compatible with a standard xbox controller? That's right, no other controller you use on you PC is compatible with this game. What's worse is YOU CAN'T REMAP YOUR KEYBOARD CONTROLS. You have to take their stock setup, THERE IS NO OTHER OPTIONS.
Summary: My son has been anticipating this game since its initial release date of Nov.3 was announced. We received it, finally, today, after two reschedules. His excitement at this was very short, though. This site says only that we need Windows XP or Vista. Okay, so far. The package says Intel Pentium Dual Core. Still okay. But 3.4 GHz? And it needs a seperate video card. Amazon, could you at least have mentioned those details in the specs?
