Blur

Defunct Games
19 July 2010
  • Summary: Sold as a retelling of Super Mario Kart, Blur ends up being a solid game on its own merits. The fast-paced races, exciting power-ups and fun online mode aren't marred by a shallow single-player career and a low supply of race tracks. The game's fun online mode more than makes up for any minor issues I have with the game! This product was submitted by the publisher for review. As a rule, Defunct Games does not review games we spent money on.

  • Conclusion: PC optimization issues and lack of peripheral support aside, Blur is the sweetest car combat game in years.

Does it pull ahead of the competition?

Yahoo

  • Conclusion: Blur isn't the addictive, competitive online game that people wanted it to be. Rather, Blur is a palate-cleansing game, the type of experience you pop in for a few minutes with your friends when you're looking for a break between sessions of a game you really like marathoning. If you love a more hardcore racing experience, and the idea of truly chaotic combat sounds appealing, than Blur might be for you.

Blur

Game Vortex
29 April 2010
  • Excerpt: In the gaming world, it is becoming increasingly common for games to cross the traditional boundaries in which they have so long existed. This not only affects games that jump genres, but also games that meld sub-genres. Enter Blur , the recently released racing title from Bizarre Creations. Blur is two parts Forza and three parts Mario Kart , blurring (if you'll excuse the pun) the lines between a serious racing simulation and an arcady racing platform.

Blur

Game Boyz

  • Excerpt: Having had the chance to review Disney Interactive's racer Split/Second a couple of weeks ago, I was looking forward to my next arcade racing fix. Well I didn't have to wait long as Activision has released their first game produced by Bizarre Creations, who were once responsible for the Xbox exclusive Project Gotham Series. This game, simply titled Blur, races to the PS3, Xbox 360 and PC with a new wrinkle or two in the arcade racer genre.

Blur (PC) / Test

3 April 2013
  • Conclusion: Blur kombiniert alles, was gute Videospiele ausmacht. Blur macht einfach gute Laune!
