Blood Bowl: Dark Elves Edition

Blood Bowl: Dark Elves Edition is an ultra-violent strategy game based on Warhammer Fantasy and American football, where players to create the ultimate “fantasy” sports teams. Gamers can build bone-crushing teams of Orcs, Wood Elves, Humans, Dwarfs and many more creatures then pit them against the game’s AI. Originally created by Jervis Johnson and Games Workshop in 1987 as a board game, the game is a combination of a tactical game and a sports game with a very simple premise; team that carries the ball into the opponent's end zone scores a touchdown, and the more touchdown you have over the opponent at the end of the game signifies the winner. Sportsmanship is not the main objective here, as gamers can even bribe the referee’s to look the other way as they cripple or trample opponents and hire illegal wizards to give them a hand directly from the crowd.

Features

Blood Bowl features a variety of game modes, from single quick match games to multiple season championships. The game also features a campaign mode, where gamers create their own team and lead it through the many championships and tournaments. Another mode is the classic mode which comes directly from the board game and where all of the mechanics, the rhythm and the strategies of the original turn-based game is present. The 'Blitz' mode is an extension of the original game and gives players new options such as the opportunity to buy ‘statistic enhancing’ equipment or access new off pitch ‘tactics’. These include testing the opposition team for ‘performance enhancements’ on their players before the next game, or hire a Spellcaster to alter the course of the game. The game also features a multiplayer mode where gamers can compete against friends on a Local Area Network (LAN) or share the same computer with the two-player Hotseat mode!
