Summary: If you are looking for a faithful recreation of the board game, it's a great game. If you don't know the board game rules, which have been getting more complicated over the years, forget about it. The game doesn't even try to explain them to yourself. There's no help at all.
Summary: Never played the "Blitz" mode - only board game mode and well, it's a faithful recreation of the Blood Bowl board game - it does however have a couple of major flaws. 1: If you own the Dark Elves edition this doesn't really add anything new, some more (arguably unbalanced - *coughs Khemri*) teams...
Summary: Legendary Edition, just like Dark Elves Edition, is just one more Blood Bowl that should have been a DLC to add to the original Blood Bowl release and not a full priced game that makes any previous purchase regrettable and very painful by money-gobbling Games Workshop.
Summary: This game really isn't for the regular fantasy gamer. There are more football rules then expected and a little hard to follow at times if your not sure on some of the terms. The teams are well rounded though, my only complaint is the special players and the cost of getting them.
Conclusion: I recommend you try it out if you want something different. If you like sports or/and strategy you could very well enjoy it. It's not perfect, but it's enjoyable.
Pros: Blood Bowl is a strategy game disguised as a sports game. The sport itself is some kind of variation of American Football or Rugby or something like that. I don't really care for any of those sports where big guys chase each other and more often than not end up in a big pile on the ground. It's t...
Cons: First of all, this looks like crap. Graphics and sounds aren't that important in these types of games, but still. The top down view allows for the player to see little more than the shoulders and the heads of the characters. The graphics reminds me a great deal of those in "Dreamweb" (an excellen...
Excerpt: When I was younger I remember playing the Bloodbowl boardgame, and I loved it. The simple approach and bloodthirsty gameplay, plus the fact that a game could be played within around an hour kept drawing me back for more.
Pros: A perfect rendition of the Boardgame; Easy to get started; Free multiplayer
Summary: And got beaten 14-0 in every single one of them. the players team mates AI is non exsistant so dont expect to just pick up and play this game right away after installing it. Gets very frustrating to see your good tactics still given the opposition very high scores.
Summary: the game is like the original board version, graphics are good game play is ok. however the commentary on the game is awfull, and you may experiance installation problems and administration issues. so be warned
Summary: The game itself isnt bad. Blitz (realtime) is ok but like 99% of people i brought this game for the turn based multiplayer. Turn based has its problems, as around half the skills do not work as intended.
Summary: Blood Bowl is only any good because the board game it's based on is so good. Cyanide, the developers, haven't added much of value at all to the game, in particular the user interface is terrible.
