Summary: This company was very good and very quick to send item out even as they are in Canada. Love this type of game .Also have Sudden Strike but find this better.Have played it every day for seven weeks.
Summary: I bought this game last May,I am still enjoying it now, this is the best WW2 game I've got! You have infantry, tanks, scouts to direct your artillery where to fire with your scout's binoculars. Command your army and plan what you are going to do, you are given the orders and you have to work it out.
Conclusion: You get do one good destructive mission but then you do loads of repetitive missions which include retaking a town, an encampment and a warehouse all as 3 objectives in the scenario. Really really boring, plus side?, good graphics, units die easily, units are plentiful, artillery is very powerful as are bombers. Give it a try but i cant take anymore repetitive missions.
Conclusion: You get 4 games and for the price is amazing, this is so much fun with plenty of missions too keep you entertained for hours on end!! One of the best of its kind out there...Highly recommended!
Summary: This game is pretty decent. When I first played it, I unistalled the game after playing it for about 10 minutes because it was impossible for me to beat the first few missions. It is very different from other RTS games such as Starcraft, Warcraft, and Age of Empires. Unlike those RTS games this games this game is not simple and it might take a while to get better or get used to the gameplay.
Summary: 1) Unit control and movement> Sometimes is very hard to select a certain unit and if you have infantry droped on the ground, you can forget about driving a tank trhough that area...it takes ages. The unit never "think" ahead...they wait until an entire platoon drive into some trees, they bunch togethere there and get stuck...than it takes 10-20 seconds to get unstuck...even if you help them by commands. Imagine you have a bunch of Il-2 on your tail..
Summary: I am a WWII history buff and I know plenty about many facets of warfare during WWII, and although this title has it ups and downs, i think it only manages a fair rating due to some major drawbacks. Pros: 1. Good graphics. The Sudden Strike series was all 2-d, this time around, only the scenery is 2-d... all tanks are modeled in 3-d rendered onto a 2-d map... but, don't get me wrong, they got some good people working in the graphics department at CDV. 2.
Turn based strategy gamer gets hooked by this RTS!!!
19 September 2003
Summary: Well i have to admit, when i played the demo of blitzkrieg i was already hooked. I'm new to real time strategy games, i'm a turn baser of old! For your info i'm running a P4 2.4 gig, 256 ram, with a 64 meg graphics card, and i had absolutley no trouble running this game, no hiccups. Untill i played the demo i was hooked on panzer general 3d and scorched earth, those WERE my bread and butter games. This game is great!
Summary: I was a little nervous about buying Blitzkrieg. In general, I've disliked real-time strategy games like this and I was worried about buying a product supported from Germany. But I couldn't be more pleased. Blitzkrieg in an excellent game. This is basically a tactical level strategy game. You are given a certain amount of assets and mission objectives and you attempt to carry them out. Usually, this means your "core group" of 3-6 tanks and a battery of artillary.
