See beyond the flaws

  • Conclusion: Sequels that remove or reduce key features of their predecessors are doomed to be trashed by fans for all eternity. But once the initial shock caused by low production values and dubious design decisions is gone, a dedicated follower of the role-playing cult will most certainly find a lot to love in this game. Addictive and deep role-playing isn't exactly common, and this game offers it in spades.

  • Summary: I got so friggin' excited when I found out there was another Divinity after the first. This is my kind of game. I'm a Fantasy RPG nut and this satiated my craving quite well. Yes, the graphics aren't quite up to date, but that actually is better for me because the game runs much faster on my slow computer. Excellent story plot and excellent just about everything else.

Warning - does NOT include Divine Divinity

Joshua Mayfield "Josh Mayfield", Amazon

  • Summary: If you're like me and are planning to play both Divine Divinity and Beyond Divinity in order, you may have heard that Beyond Divinity actually includes the original Divine Divinity as a bonus. While this is true, it's only in specially marked boxes and not all merchants sell them. I ordered Beyond Divinity from Amazon, assuming that it was guaranteed to include Divine Divinity, but my box didn't have it.

Beyond Divinity Divinity

  • Summary: This game is such a refreshing change from the dry and listless RPGs that have been released of late. Humor abounds, and once again, I am loving the Divinity universe. New with this game is the ability to play after finishing the main game - one can visit the Battlefields for new quests indefinately.

Newsflash

  • Summary: This is for those people who complained about the voiceovers in the demo. Apparently, you haven't been to Larian Studio's website recently. Several days ago, they posted that they hired completely new voice-actors and re-recorded all the dialogue, so stop complaining. Bring on the game Larian Studios!!!

Waiting impatiently

  • Summary: With having played Larian Studios Divine Divinity and the demo of Beyond Divinity, which is not the final version, I find myself waiting impatiently waiting for the game to be released. It is set in the Divinity Universe and has alot of new features such as, Battlefields, new skills and a no class restriction. You are able to make a character with both sword and magic abilities.

Beyond Divinity? Sign me up!

  • Summary: This game is made by Larian Studios, the people who made the smashing good hit Divine Divinity. This is a action/Rpg but it has a few twists... (such as being able to do tactical mode instead of Hardcore, or Action) The graphics are the same nice 2d crisp graphics, but with characters and npc's in 3d and a few other updates. You can scroll closer and farter to get a good looka t many of the badies trying to kill you as you get rid of your Soul-forgin with a Deathknight.

Vielleicht besser als Diablo 2

Yopi
