Living on the beach

Dooyoo

  • Summary: I bought this PC game from Amazon a few months ago, where it cost me just under £5 and it was brand new. The reason I wanted it is because a friend had it and sometimes when I went to their house when I was little we would play on it, and I thought it was quite good fun. I don't know why but suddenly I remembered the game, and had a sudden urge to buy it, so I did. Basically the aim of the game is to create the essential party/holiday island.
  • Pros: good graphics, good fun to play on, background music is not bad, cheap to buy
  • Cons: pictures of women in bikini when loading

Dying For A Holiday?

  • Summary: This is my favourite game of all time, can be found rather cheap but finding it in the shops is difficult, and very rare, usually found in the Sold Out range. It would be what you would call a Tycoon gam,e find an island make a resort, keep the water clean and the people alive! Sharks are around!
  • Pros: Simple, Platform
  • Cons: Can Get Tedious Occasionally

Beach Life (PC): Beach Life

claz140, Dooyoo
30 November 2008
  • Summary: Even though this game is unrecognised and cheap it is actually quite fun to play if your like games such as The Sims, Theme hospital, Tropico etc. There are about 10 levels to play, but you have to complete each of them one by one. In the levels you have to build a holiday resort, and each level has different goals to complete.
  • Pros: Different levels of building and growing a holiday empire.
  • Cons: Didn't find any faults.

  • Conclusion: Beach Life is a game that takes you to the wonderful world of creating the ultimate holiday and party package. It's very simple to use and can become quite addictive. The guests are very judgemental and you'll have to do alot to keep them happy. The game is worth playing and has different scenarios to suit everyone.

Great buy.

  • Conclusion: A great price for this great little game. Certainly is a very addictive game once you start playing. Has fantastic graphics for a 2D game and the scenarios will keep you occupied for many hours. Only let down for me is it does get a bit repetitive. Specially on sandbox mode, once you have a fantastic resort running there's not a lot else to do! But for £4.99 this is well worth a purchase.

Life's a Beach

  • Excerpt: "...the game is to manage beach resorts in a variety of scenerios, where this game differs from most is it is aimed more at the young adult market than children. Not many games you play allow you change the strength/type of beer you sell to have an effect on how the people in the game react. Plus I don't think I have played any other games where you have to encourage couples to make out in order to complete a level!!! As you progress through the island ...
  • Pros: Different to other management games on the market
  • Cons: not enough funds given on some levels

  • Excerpt: "...game player must create a beach resort on a little island, whilst trying to fulfill the certain aims or targets given to them by the scenario they are on(such as generating a certain amount of income, or getting x many people drunk in one day), however; to reach the next scenario, it must be unlocked by successfully finishing the previous one. This game is not as simple as some other games of the sort. There are a lot of controls to familiarise ...

  • Excerpt: "...to savage shark attacks, with Beach Life you will experience all the pleasure and pain of running your very own holiday resort. In Beach Life, you are in charge of creating a tropical beach covered with water sports, pools, cheesy dance clubs, bars, junk food restaurants or posh restaurants, and much much more. Once youve got your VERY demanding customers satisfied, kick back and watch all of your guests' hedonistic holiday fun in the sun, and watch ...
  • Pros: Good graphics, sound, gameplay and other important factors
  • Cons: some of the missions in the campaign lack depth

  • Excerpt: "Beach life is a game where you can bring your ideal holidays to the PC with a click of a button. Everything has been created from lovely crystal clear beaches to tropical storms. This game is very much like the Pc game Tropico and Tropico Paradise Island but has much more detail in both game play and design. With Beach Life you are the manager of a resort either with a whole island to yourself or with a part of a bigger island. Your aim is to build ...

Come on down to my Beach party

Molefay, Ciao
21 October 2002
  • Excerpt: "Beach Life is a brand new PC simulation game given to us by Eidos Now being a HUGE fan of simulation games (and possibly incredibly sad), I actually pre-ordered this from EB Game site (getting extra points into the bargain). So have had this game since it came out in September. There are two modes to this game, Sandbox and Scenario's. There are 14 scenarios and the idea is that you complete each one of these, as you complete each scenario, it ...
  • Pros: Very entertaining, good fun
  • Cons: Graphics slightly dodgy, game can be slow
