Summary: this is a fantastic game. incredibly fantastic. spendidly fantastic. this game, some may say is just a lame knock-off of the 2002 hit, "battlefield 1942". they are almost entirely correct, only this time there are more helicopters, fewer germans and much more badass music. despite the similarity in the two titles, BFV has the feel of an entirely new game and not some kind of glorified expansion pack.
Pros: This game just never gets dull. I have been playing this for 6 months straight and I still love it. All about online play. With WWII mod and other mods available there is constantly new stuff coming out to keep it fresh.
Cons: No "story" mode so single-player mode is pointless. Only for those who like online multiplayer games. How you could not like playing online with this game though is inconceivable to me.
Pros: As of 3-4weeks ago, there has been the release of patch 1.2 that took care of most of all the bugs. New maps, New Vehicles, New Everything. Don't judge this game by the box at your retail store, it is only 25% of what the game reall is. The actual game
Cons: But you have to have a really good 256mb graphics(128 is ok too, i think) card and probablly 1G ram to really enjoy this game or else you'll have lag, and lots of frustraion.
Pros: This is my 1st ever shooter pc game, and I have become an addict of this game. Great gameplay and graphics. Lots of maps and vehicles, guns, many aspects to playing this game.
Cons: Great graphics = high end graphics card. I have X800 pro and it works great at high settings. Any graphics card with less than 256mb will not let you enjoy the full potential of this game. Low end cards will not be able to play at all due to LAG!!!
Summary: Battlefield Vietnam, I have to say, rivals it's older brother Battlefield 1942. The single greatest new edition is being able to play music in any vechile. You can customize it by adding your own tracks as well :) In those long online games this really comes in handy. Alas no campaign mode = - * For most of what they lost they make up for it in multiplayer. Spawn points are key and you must capture and hold them at all costs.
Summary: Battlefield Vietnam was a bit more thrown together then Battlefield 1942. It was the next step in trying to cash in on the new Vietnam game craze that followed the wake of the WWII craze. The game features some graphical improvements over the original and really helps in terms of foliage and cover. In fact sometimes this can be more of a pain if you're the poor noob who is brought down by hidden fire. The real star of this game is the new helicopters.
Pros: Mobile spawn points, helicopters, river boats
Excerpt: "The Battlefield series has certainly been a pioneer in this field, and anyone who's a fan of it, especially the newer Modern Combat game, should definitely check this game out, even if it's just out of curiousity and appreciation for the franchise. Although not everyone's cup of tea, Vietnam war-based shooters are arguably an under-developed market, especically in comparison with World War II shooters. In my opinion, having played on numerous 'Nam ...
