Battlefield 4 – PC Game Review

Armchair General

  • Conclusion: Battlefield 4 is another hit in a franchise that has had few misses. If you think all this sounds like not a lot has changed since BF3 , you’re correct. This one features minor improvements, notably with graphics and the added modes. In this way it does feel like a smooth transition from the previous game while offering some new maps, new small arms and just a little bit more of what has always made this series one of the best shooters out there.
  • Pros: Commander Mode is back; new maps, new modes, more BF fun
  • Cons: Campaign mode is serious dud; plan on buying a new computer!

  • Excerpt: Twelve years of Battlefield games have come and gone and after a rather short two-year wait since the last game, we now have a transformational, gap-crossing new entry in the series. Publisher EA loves to tighten the grasp they have on gamers and they've executed a brilliant, addictive, and frankly exploitative strategy to make money off of gamers, but here's my thing: it's OK to partake in it if you can afford it, you can keep track of how much in total you're spending...

Battlefield 4 review

Gameplanet

  • Summary: Battlefield 4's PC multiplayer represents years of learning distilled into a peerless online experience. Its singleplayer may also be peerless, but for all the wrong reasons. A must-have for multiplayer FPS fans.
  • Pros: Frostbite 3 is gorgeous. Destructibility has a dynamic impact. Commander mode returns. An empahsis on teamwork and objective play. Excellent sound design. Some new multiplayer modes add variety.
  • Cons: A singleplayer campaign so poor that if it were any more important to the game it'd have a larger impact on the score.

  • Conclusion: The year is 2020. The United States and Russia are at each other's throats, in a conflict that has been going for six years. A corrupt China is close to joining forces with the Russians as the ill willed Admiral Cheng is looking to assume power. It would likely spell the end of the United States of America as we know it. A special task force called Tombstone is sent to Asia to ensure that the righteous leader Jin Jié survives. This is where we enter the picture. As Sgt.
  • Pros: Variation. Gorgeous. Amazing sound. Great options to customise your experience.Very balance.
  • Cons: Weak singleplayer campaign.
