Battlefield 3

1 October 2011
  • Excerpt: We got hold of the PC version and downloaded it digitally from Origin, the EA store. A common things used in literature and movies and game story telling is the flashbacks and flash-forwards. It is used with good results in Battlefield 3 The game rockets the player into action right from the start and then jumps around time to tell the rest of the story, sometimes from the view of other key players in the battles that take place, often with exciting results.

Battlefield 3 Beta GPU and CPU Performance Benchmarks

Hi Tech Legion

  • Summary: The maximum settings used here are actually not the same as the ULTRA preset. The maximum settings used in these benchmarks have the Anti-Aliasing Post and Anti-Aliasing Deferred options maxed out. The new Frostbite 2 engine does require a considerable amount of horsepower, with even the mighty GeForce GTX 580 barely averaging beyond 57 fps indoors and only hitting ~45 fps outdoors.

Pain

Game Boyz
10 September 2010
  • Excerpt: I remember the first time I saw Pain; it was at E3 in Santa Monica in July 2007. My first thought was “what a great idea, launching a game character through the air into a destructible environment with no negative consequences in sight”. Yep, my inner devil was speaking and I have admit I didn’t feel single pang of guilt in the fact that this game encourages you to throw a human being into various obstacles (e.g.

Wolf of the Battlefield: Commando 3

Auracore MediaWorks
31 July 2008
  • Summary: A run and gun shoot-em up that should satisfy even the most finicky of gamers.
  • Pros: Tight responsive controls; chaotic game play; has a somewhat cel-shaded look that provides great eye candy; multiplayer is a blast.
  • Cons: 90's-style spawning enemies; some slowdown at peculiar times; online multiplayer suffers from some issues.
