Balders Gate 4 in 1 works with Win7..
8 December 2013
Summary: Purchased with slim hopes of actually running on my windows 7 system, but for the price what would I lose? The games installed and worked perfectly - I forgot how fun this game was and will spend many unproductive hours enjoying this game. I Would Recommend this game to anyone..
Summary: I will praise the Baldur's Gate series as both a classic and (for its time) a revolution in solid video game roleplaying. This is my second purchase of the game, but the first purchase of this boxed set. The first purchase -- my original -- still works and installs like a charm. That said, the issues I have with this box-set are less with the game and more with the way Interplay has made the game oh, so much more difficult to access and install than need be.
Summary: I played these games as a child, and I loved them. Then, I bought them for $20 a piece. Now I am able to purchase both games PLUS their expansions (I hadn't played those yet) for less than $20! (I got them on sale for $15.) I installed them, and I had no trouble. I have very little trouble running the actual games. IF IT IS ASKING FOR CD6 UPON STARTING (for BG1), just pop in the Tales of Sword Coast expansion CD. It will later ask you to put in CD1.
Summary: Back in the late 90's, Baldur's Gate hit stores, and I was eager to grab it up. The story was one of the best of Black Isle's productions, perhaps only topped by Planescape: Torment. It took place in one of my favorite D&D settings, the Forgotten Realms. It also uses my favorite ruleset for D&D, 2nd edition AD&D. The combat is still fun, and watching your character grow, and interact with npcs is one of the joys of the series.
Summary: This is a great collection of the Baldur's Gate games and expansions. The low price and the fact that it's only on 4 CDs make it a great deal. Those of us who owned the original Baldur's Gate II had to deal with 4 different CDs for that game alone--and changing the disc each time we went somewhere new. No such problems here. Buyers should know that this only includes the CDs and CD covers. Manuals are not included.
Summary: Had a hankering for some old gaming, bought this on a whim and wasnt dissapointed. The game discs came in black and white making me think they were burned copies but the box seemed legit. Everything worked fine, was a pita to get such an old game to run right on todays PC, but other than that great qaulity, and speed of dilvery was very nice.
