Test Attack on Pearl Harbor

Generation NT
2 March 2008

Attack on Pearl Harbor

The Armchair Empire
15 November 2007
  • Conclusion: The size of maps and the scope of the missions feels right on; the player has plenty of room to maneuver without (sorry, IL-2) endless climbs or long slogs from waypoint to waypoint. The two historical campaigns (technically four – two at the beginning and two at the end of the Pacific war) are fun, if a little brief and arranged in a confusing, dynamic system where successful missions result in experience, medals and new planes, and failed missions means not receiving...

Attack on Pearl Harbor

The Gamers Temple
28 August 2007
  • Excerpt: Attack on Pearl Harbor probably carries the distinction of being the only game to be named after its first level. The game actually spans the entire Pacific Theater conflict of World War II, and can be played from both the American and Japanese perspective. But that's not the only thing deceptive about this game.

Attack on Pearl Harbor

Strategy Informer
25 August 2007
  • Conclusion: Hopefully, Attack on Pearl Harbor won’t go unnoticed by its target audience, who’ll gleam far more enjoyment from this game than they would ever rightly expect. Likewise, should the title be explored by the WWII and flight sim enthusiasts, its review scores are likely to plummet due to unnecessary, yet anticipated, genre conflict.

  • Excerpt: December 7, 1941: a date which will live in infamy ...and not a few videogames (you may as well get used to it -- today's tragedy is tomorrow's multiplayer mode). Attack on Pearl Harbor's campaign experience starts off with its critical namesake battle and continues through to the climax of the Pacific War in 1945.

Attack on Pearl Harbor review (PC)

HonestGamers
11 July 2007
  • Excerpt: Choosing to play as either a Japanese or American pilot, you'll follow the tale of a single air force member from start to finish. The single-player game involves following a clever mission-based campaign mode, fighting the real battles of the war in the South Pacific.
