Summary: Assassin's Creed I worked perfectly and I enjoyed the game very much. However, when I went to install Assassin's Creed II, things went down hill. An error message popped up saying that it wouldn't run on the windows version I was running. I read the system requirements on the back of the case and my desktop and laptop exceeded them, but worked on neither. As of now, I'm trying to contact Encore and their website is not helpful and I can't find a phone number to call.
Summary: The title of this review says it all. Neither disc worked in any of the 3 computers we have in the house. They all said they were corrupted discs. Sad because it is an awesome price for two of the games. Packaging is not even a case but a paper envelope that holds both discs which came with the program sides together. Although they werent scratched I have a feeling that is also a reason they didnt work.
Summary: Second disk did not work. Disk two wanted a C D key to work and they don't send one with your set. I love the game but now I have to buy the #2 disk again... No costumer service at all. Send an e-mail, useless. Cant get a refund. Just out the money I guess.
Summary: This game - due to being a port from a console to the PC takes a comittment to learn. The controls are clumsy and the documention is inadequate to help you learn. It is possible to learn but it's quite a study. Once you manage to get comfortable with the controls and playstyle you notice that unless you complete the quest you are currently on there is no file save and there is no control to allow you to save.
Summary: The First game (assassin's creed 1) worked great and was lots of fun. The second game (assassin's creed 2) refused to download. I did some research on this and apparently its a common problem. I checked my drive and its perfectly fine, it runs many more damanding games but not this one. The message says (DataPC_Firenze)(D:\data5.cab) (Data error(cyclic redundency check).) I would like an e-mail from the Ubisoft and maybe they could give me a solution.
Summary: Ordered this for my daughter's birthday, the games will not work at all, they act like they download, but when you go to play them, it does nothing at all. We were out of town for this birthday, and by the time we got home, it was too late to return them, wasted money, will never buy anything from this seller again.
Summary: I am very upset about this game I just got it in the mail today and sucessfully installed the game and after the opening cut seen the game froze everytime after uninstalling it and reinstalling it still no luck.
Summary: Assassin's Creed 1 works fine, but the sequel won't install due to an error with the product. I know it's not my PC because I install new games all the time with no problem and I googled it and found many forums discussing the same problem. Coincidence? I don't think so. Since the first one is just okay and the 2nd one is phenomenal, I can't recommend this collection to anyone since it's missing it's better half so to speak. Thanks for ripping me off Ubisoft.
