Summary: Utterly boring! I made it about 20% into the game and just stopped. I mean, I got sick of following the yellow arrow so much that I felt like a robot taking commands most of the time. Then there's the cinematics you have to wait through all the friggen time! Every time you did ANYTHING you had to wait through a cut-scene! Bah, boring! I don't have a top rated PC yet, but even so I noticed allot of graphic anomalies, like weapon vibrating in npc's hands.
Summary: After playing all previous AC games (just finished AC: Revelations with 100% score), I wanted to continue story and FINALLY get AC 3. I have to admit that I'm quite disappointed. Game is NOTHING like previous AC games. While story is still amazing (really a masterpiece, in my opinion), everything else seems to be done wrong somehow. Please note, my review is for PC version only.
Summary: I am reviewing the PC Deluxe version. I agree the graphics are great. But, in addition to looking good, the game must be playable and fun. This game is neither. The controls are horrible. The documentation is lacking. I am 50% through the game, and still cannot figure out how to fight successfully. Sometimes one swing and three baddies go down. Then you swing away only to be killed by one guy. Not fun.
Summary: i have played all of the other AC games. I am a little disappointed in the final product. Combat seems about the same as the others. If you don't like navel battles like me you have just took out about 20 percent of the game. Also tree running isn't that great and i don't find myself tree running that much. They have seem to put a lot of time into navel and hunting forgetting about the core of the game. Being a Assassin .
Summary: First some disclaimers. I'm strictly a PC gamer, no consoles (well, other than the ancient Atari and a Sega Genesis). Secondly, brand new to the AC line of games. With that in mind, there were some awesome things and some terrible things about this game on the PC. The graphics are gorgeous! And it runs at max on my rig built over a year ago. The history is interesting, and they give lots of detail about the characters and places.
Summary: I will not dwell too much on the PROs and the CONs of the game. Other reviewers (both positive and negative, I suggest you hear out both sides) addressed them in detail. One PRO that truly stands out is incredible graphics, and I just had to mention that. If you have a powerful PC and need your graphics technology demonstrator, this game definitely fits the bill.
Summary: I've been playing the AC series since AC 1 - I've loved every one of them - even Revelations. This is the second one I've felt compelled to write a review for. It appears that Ubisoft is abandoning the PC as a viable game platform. I saw hints of this in AC 2, but now its a hint that looks like an Abrams tank. Why? well, they made no secret of the fact that it was a port to the PC, and from everything I've seen, they didn't even bother to test it out at all.
Summary: I think they tried to overreach and ran out of time. This game definitely was not polished by the time it was released. The game does have several good points. It has a wonderful cinematic way of putting you in the feel of an important time in US history. The fight animations are amazing. The new ability to find ways of navigating the trees and cliffs was a great aspect of the game. Mini-games are plentiful and fun distractions..
Summary: ASS3 could have been a wonderful game. It has graphics as good as Skyrim and lots of wonderful bustling towns which have perfect historical architecture. Thee are some nice twists and turns in the plot but the thing which I thought we'd all gotten away from in gaming is "having a linear, scripted plot which you have to follow or else..
Summary: Pros: * Combat system was fun to use, although I did run into difficulty using enemies as human shields. It would not always work as it should which was incredibly frustrating. * Town graphics / rendering were upgraded from previous versions * It's Assassin's Creed * Connor is a bada$$ when the combat system is working properly and that is fun to see and do. * Desmond's missions. Awesome. Finally got to see him in live action on missions which was great. * Weather.
