Conclusion: Fortunately it has the same appeal as the previous titles; when I’m not playing I’m thinking about how to kill targets as stealthily as possible even though the new combat system allows you to take on dozens of lobster backs with a high likelihood of surviving. There is something immensely (and disturbingly) satisfying about slowly stalking behind prey, stabbing them, and then slowly walking away.
Assassin's Creed 3: Tyranny of King Washington - Episode 2 DLC review
19 March 2013
Summary: In the last episode, Connor learned the power of the Wolf Cloak, which allows you to turn invisible as you move between cover. In this episode the power he unlocks is much more dramatic: the power of flight.
Pros: The flying mechanic works well, Some great stealth set-pieces
Cons: Boston barely feels any different from AC3, Still no decent side missions
Assassin's Creed 3: Tyranny of King Washington DLC - Episode 1 review
19 February 2013
Summary: Connor isn't Connor in this alternate timeline. He never met Achilles, never trained as an assassin, and was never given his new name. He's simply Ratonhnhaké:ton, and instead of white robes he wears animal skins. But here's the twist: he remembers everything that happened in Assassin's Creed 3 . In this first slice of DLC, titled The Infamy, he's inhabiting a new version of himself in a new reality, but he's aware of it.
Summary: Assassin's Creed III boasts the greatest sense of scale and importance in the series to date. It contains a strong narrative and more three-dimensional characters, but it also marks a new direction for the blockbuster series.
Pros: Easily the most gripping story in the series to date. A more rounded lead character and a more richly realised supporting cast and world. Visually superior. Tighter controls. Better combat.
Cons: Desmond continues to disappoint. Economy and naval systems don't offer enough reward for investment. Stealth marginalised.
Assassin's Creed 3 review: The birth of a nation, the end of a trilogy
30 October 2012
Summary: Amazingly, this is the fourth Assassin's Creed game in four years. But while Brotherhood and Revelations felt like ambitious expansions, Assassin's Creed 3 is more of a sequel. The world is bigger and more complex, combat has been streamlined, climbing feels more natural and intuitive, and we're introduced to a new setting and hero for the first time since baby Ezio came screeching out of his mother's womb. But some things haven't changed.
Pros: Big, beautifully realised world, Hours of side missions, Improved climbing and combat
Cons: Too many scripted missions, Connor is a bore, Distracting visual bugs
Conclusion: Truth be told, many of its elements are optional, so it’s pretty much up to every one of us how much time we’re going to waste on these time sinks. But even with these upgrades, you can’t shake off that feeling Revelations had in spades. Ubisoft is really milking this cash cow, polishing off every new title just enough to justify a new number next to the game title.
Pros: A vast world, full of optional activities, Environment diversity through extended rural areas, Naval battles, The season rotation and the graphical details that make up the atmosphere, The multiplayer
Cons: Bland Desmond sequences, Connor is rougher around the edges than Ezio or Altair, The combat system is pretty old in its mechanics, Too many cutscenes
Assassin's Creed 3 - La Tirannia di George Washington - Recensione
23 April 2013
Assassin's Creed 3 - La Tirannia di Re Washington - Recensione
19 February 2013
