Summary: I stumbled on this accidentally as a free play at Wild Tangent and was ready to love a game based on Dutch Renaissance art. Yay, finally a game where I could apply all that useless expertise from my Art History major! First thing I noticed was how muddy the graphics seemed, at least in comparison to the luminosity of real Dutch art. I don’t normally expect masterworks from game designers but if the game’s about art, you might want to up the ante just a little.
Summary: I thought this was going to be a good game but then I made the mistake of playing the demo. There isn't any real direction in this game. You basically just add things to your inventory and if you can, see if you can combine something. You aren't given any real tasks. You are on your own just wondering from place to place. Then you get 3 stupid little mini game and think to yourself, " I only have to do this one time and it will be over soon." WRONG!
Summary: There is something so off about this game. I don't know if it's the horrible graphics, ridiculous story, empty feeling of it or the fact that IT USES THE SAME THREE MINI-GAMES OVER AND OVER AND OVER AGAIN. And they're not fun. I can't decide which one I hate more but I think it's the lock puzzle. To solve the gear puzzle, I just keep left-clicking until the holes eventually line up. Seriously, it uses the same three unenjoyable mini-games over and over again. Ad nauseum.
Summary: Although I liked the storyline on this, Aspectus quickly got boring. It's more of an adventure game than a HOG. You start by picking up useful objects, but it pretty much launched into a series of mini games within a minute of starting the game. While the minis were okay, I felt like they ruined the game for the most part. The graphics are nice, but I deleted the game after about 10 - 15 minutes.
