Summary: Arma 1 is the sequel to Operation Flashpoint and brings with it many upgrades to the animations, graphics, physics, sounds and vehicles. There are many, many very good mods available for Arma 1 that can completely change the gameplay. There is a lot of silly stuff too, like santa with an M16 and jack frost with an AK-47 setup as opposing forces.
Outdated game, can have problems getting it to work.

Summary: Overall an outdated game. Not as fun as the Battlefield series dating back to 1942. Overall I prefer Battlefield 1942 much funner and longer lasting then ARMA. Very clunky feels and movement doesn't feel all the smooth. Slow placed gameplay, online servers also seem slow and little players. ARMA II / 2 is out with extra addons. ARMA 2 is free to play the online version if you visit the companies website, the single player and extra maps/missions are extra $.
Summary: If you are looking for a great game with a TON of replay value then look no further. This game is THE most realistic military simulator out there. It has a great mod community with tons of new weapons, maps, characters, missions, and add on packs to extend your play. You can even create your own missions! it took me a couple days to create an almost exact replica of "all ghillied up" from call of duty 4! there is a decent online following still.
Summary: I am not especially good at FPS games but I love to play them on the easiest setting. This game had too many controls for too many things. I couldn't get past the training. I was shooting down the target but the game said I FAILED because I missed when I didn't miss! I finally got frustrated and uninstalled it. I will give it away. This is the second ATARI game that I didn't like. I think I'll stick with Ubisoft and a few others that are consistent in their controls.
