Summary: This is one of the most realistic games I have ever seen and its a very good looking game as well there's so much user made content its insane. Most people buy this game just because of the many mods and one famous mod is DayZ that is A-mazing. There's a few bugs here and there but the patches are great and fix a lot of them. If you want some action then you must try this game!
Summary: Arma is a military sim with that said its not like COD4 run and gun style gameplay, you actually have to take some time to figure out how you wish to go about accomplishing missions and yes its hard, you'll probably die a lot. Someone has said this game has no mods, thats completely untrue this game has thousands of mods that are just great, especially mods by ACE and 5th sense. Not only that but many mods for Operation flashpoint are also portable to Arma.
Summary: The value of this game and the original, Operation Flashpoint, is the in game mission editor that allows you to create missions on the fly with existing units and objects or with downloaded mods and play that mission instantly without having to shut the editor down and launch another application. For that fact alone this game is worth its weight in gold. However, understand what you are getting: A sometimes buggy combined arms simulator.
Summary: Out of the box the game was kinda bad.. but since then things gotten alot better, patch fixed many of the bug, and the community ran with it, making truely awesome mods for it now.. if your only looking for single player play... this isnt your thing.. this game really shines when played online in a structured manner, which is where the action is at, missions which might take anythign from 20min to 3 hours, is where the immersion factor really draws us in, this is a...
Summary: I have found that this game has become a "fun" addiction due to the challenges and realistic situations encountered during the missions. It is fun, especially when played online with friends. I would recommend this game to any ArmA: Combat Operations mature gamer.
Arma: Combat Operations is a Great Game because it is Difficult to Master
Brad E. Buchanan "Gunbuilder", Amazon
22 May 2009
Summary: The thing I enjoy most is this game is harder to master than other first person shooters. It use's some real world tatics and thinking to successfully complete the missions It's not just a run and gun game.
Summary: Armed Assault is closest war simulator ever done. It doesn't matter, it has many bugs with physics and such, but it's not the point. The point is to make player know - how it is to be a soldier on battlefield, commander in tank, or pilot in a plane. Game has very interesting storyline, the oportunity to download addons is great. Of course some things have remained from Operation Flashpoint, but this also gives the feeling that it is really the sequel to previous OFP.
Phenomenal military combat game - nothing compares...
Gary Siwicki, Amazon

Summary: Phenomenal, that is you if like to play co-op in a tactical style of play in a game that achieves more realism than any other game I can think of. I didn't "come from" OFP. I came from the Tom Clancy line of "tactical shooters" and with nothing on the market that resembled a "tactical shooter" that had co-op, I was still playing Ghost Recon - the original. That sounds a bit sad...not for me but for an industry that couldn't match GR's gameplay in what, 7-8 years?
