Expert Review

Original-Gamer
17 April 2012
  • Conclusion: In my last review, “Defenders of Ardania,” I commented on how giving players the ability to attack as well as defend in the Tower Defence genre was an addition that brought the game to life, and allowed the player some input in their success beyond placing defences and hoping for some breaks.

Anomaly Warzone Earth

Thunderbolt Games
6 April 2012
  • Excerpt: If any single genre could be considered synonymous with the rise of the downloadable game market, it’d have to be tower-defense. Rather than dive headfirst into the already crowded market and hope to find their niche, 11 Bit Studios’ title, Anomaly Warzone Earth , turns the genre on its ear. It’s the year 2018 and a comet has entered the Earth’s atmosphere, splitting into two and striking the cities of Baghdad and Tokyo.

Anomaly: Warzone Earth

Strategy Informer
6 October 2011
  • Conclusion: Anomaly: Warzone Earth is exciting, clever and ultimately addictive. There's a level of innovation here that we rarely see in AAA gaming, and we'd like to see more of it please. If you have any interest in tower defence whatsoever, this is an essential purchase.

Anomaly Warzone Earth Review

Softpedia
19 April 2011
  • Excerpt: Tower defense games are to the independent gaming scene what military first-person shooters are to the triple-AAA part of the industry, largely because lots of small developers are trying their hands on making titles in the genre in order to get their name out there. While this has caused almost the whole genre to become rather stale, there are developers that are trying to spice things up, with 11 Bit Studios and its new Anomaly Warzone Earth title being the perfect...

Anomaly: Warzone Earth

Game Over Online
18 April 2011
  • Excerpt: The Good: Unique spin on tower defense formula The Bad: That gets somewhat repetitious after awhile The Ugly: Nothing As a gamer I’m rapidly becoming a big fan of budget titles. Am I better off dropping $50 for Dead Space 2 and the roughly 15 hours of gameplay that it offers, or is my gaming dollar better spend on the likes of Anomaly: Warzone Earth, which, for a measly $10 provides about 10 hours? I guess the answer depends on what kind of gamer you are.

Anomaly: Warzone Earth im Test

GameStar
27 June 2011

  • Pros: Oogstrelend, Knap verhaal, Verfrissend concept, Bescheiden prijs
  • Cons: Kort verhaal, Beperkte gameplay-opties
