Summary: Set in the 16th century you have to quash a conspiracy to kill the King of France. A good story, so the introduction of weird potions and ghosts is unnecessary and spoils part of the fun. Introducing anachronisms like trains and photographs is another mistake. Usually in HOG's most of the items are somewhere and a few are hidden in a HOS. Here it is the other way around. In the hidden object scenes are 90% of the objects you need, only some 10% is hidden elsewhere.
Summary: I was disappointed that the developer didn't do more with what I thought was a great idea. Solving a murder mystery plot against the King in glamorous historical settings should have made for a great adventure HOG, but this fell flat. Game play is layered: first you find "an objective" which is actually a list of needed inventory items; then you click around more to either uncover more objectives or find HO scenes where you search for the needed stuff; step 3 is putting...
