Summary: Allow me to start by noting that ive been an avid horror genre fan, spanning all the way back to the first resident evil game. Ive seen, played, enjoyed and hated them all. Very rarely have i been spooked by anything other then the cheap in ur face scare. This game is very differant. It doesnt use cheap tactics to scare you. Instead it immerses the player in a dark, gory and outright insane situation. You dont have your trusty shot gun to bail you out of trouble..
Summary: Item exactly as described; this is a retail copy of Amnesia: The Dark Descent. Comes with a disc, case, and activation code. The disc installs its content onto a hard drive and runs from it. This way the optical drive isn't making noise while the game is active; the disc it is needed for installation only. I have been wanting to get Amnesia for a long time, but until recently I haven't had a computer that can handle it (this is why I don't think it deserves all 5 stars).
Summary: I'd heard a lot of hype about how scary this game was and decided to get it. I'm happy to say that it lives up to the hype. The game has a problem here or there but for the most part I enjoyed the game the whole way through. The game only asks you for 3 things to enjoy it. 1. Play it in the dark. 2. Play it with headphones on. 3. Immerse yourself in the experience and pretend this is you going through these things and how you would keep yourself alive.

Summary: A puzzle-horror game, "Amnesia" eschews combat and action in favor of immersive terror-based gameplay. "Amnesia: The Dark Descent" casts the player as Daniel, who is (appropriately enough) an amnesiac. He's trapped in a dark, abandoned castle, and must navigate it and find his way out. The main gameplay is puzzle-centric, with a few features that make it stand out.
Summary: I purchased this from Steam before it was available on Amazon so there may be minor differences. This game is very scary without the use of cheap shock or startlement. You play the character of Danial, waking in a dark castle with little memory. As you explore you will come across clues to your identity and history. Occasionally creatures/ghosts will attack you, time to run! There are some puzzles but none are frustrating.
Are you scared? 'Cause the guy you're playing sure is..

Excerpt: After finally being tempted over to the darkside of gaming, (with a PC no less) one of the first on my wishlist was this: Amnesia: The Dark Descent - Why? Because it received critical acclaim upon release and was dubbed one of the scariest games to date. "CHALLENGE ACCEPTED" me thoughts.
Excerpt: I love everything horror. I've been watching horror films since I was 15, and very rarely have I been unsettled by any of the events I have witnessed. My very first viewing of a film, From Dusk Until Dawn, actually sent me right off to sleep, so when it came to installing Amnesia on my laptop, I didn't think I'd be too bothered.
Excerpt: Amnesia:The Dark Descent is a video game designed by Frictional Game.Previously known as "Lux Tenebras" and "Unknown",it is a survival horror video game. The game is designed as a labyrinth, where you can easily get lost.To top that,it has monsters that spawn in different places, and these monsters often patrol areas. This being said, you can't hide forever in one place.
Pros: Good story, great sounds, even better gameplay
Cons: Can't play it for too much time;it's not recommended to health
Excerpt: I am a huge fan of horror games and especially the ones that's got the amazingly scary jumpscares that just makes you scream in fear and jump out of your chair crying for mommy. Unfortunately there are only a few games like that with todays graphics. Amnesia: The Dark Descent is one of those games. When i first saw Amnesia i thought it wasn't going to be that scary but i was wrong. This is a game that's got the stressfactor i like.
Pros: Really scary atmosphere and sound effects . Possibility for user created stories . Great graphics .
