America’s Army 3 centers around the expulsion of civilians from a fictitious Czervenian government, which is controlled by the PKC. Over 300,000 people have been displaced in this move and those who refused to leave have been executed. With a UN Security Council resolution failing to stop Czervenian President Kasimir Adzic and the PKC, the RDO government and the U.N. have requested the help of the United States to send troops to resolve the situation. The game features training mode that is created by the U.S. Army and is based on real Army training. The game also lets players learn about Military Occupational Specialties (MOSs) and prepares them to deploy as part of the U.S. Army Fire Team. These include playing as a rifleman, automatic rifleman, grenadier and squad designated marksman. Some of the weapons featured for use in this game include the standard M16A4 MWS (Modular Weapon System), M16A4 DMR (Designated Marksman Rifle), M320 Grenade Launcher and M249 SAW (Squad Automatic Weapon). The game has an ESRB T (Teen) rating.

It also puts emphasis on graphical performance and on graphical flexibility to cover a greater range of PCs. The game requires players to use team effort in order to accomplish their missions and adhere to the seven Army Core Values of loyalty, duty, respect, selfless service, honor, integrity and personal courage. America’s Army 3 allows gamers to explore the Army as it is today. The development team was sent to experience Army training just as a new recruit would in order to capture the true nuances of Army training. The game provides players with a virtual experience in soldiering, crawling through obstacle courses, firing weapons, observing paratrooper instruction, and participating in a variety of training exercises with elite combat units.
