Summary: -Scenario- Good double-character based. Mystery, darkness and stuff all over the place. The storyline is very interesting with that burn-'em-alive stuff. 92% -Graphics- Excellent. Black Mirror style houses and cellars, no pixel hunting. 92% -Sound- Good. Some dark ambient sounds but nothing very much scary. But it is adequate. 85% -Control- Great. Click the mouse and interact with the object, or right-click and interact more.
Excerpt: I happened upon this little gem of a game at abandonware site, www.theunderdogs.org(see my review for more info) and was intrigued by its premise. Here was a game that would let you live a life of complete fantasy, albeit in a regular setting. Initial thoughts? The game that came before Maxis' Sims. Almost two decades before in fact. And made by a completely different company in Activision. And better.
Pros: brilliant fun, very life - like . . . you may even discover one or two things about yourself . . . better than the sims by a long shot
Cons: time munching, your 'conscience' can be annoying at times
