Summary: I have Played this game only a minor amount overall. about halfway into each races storyline. and i must say, im dredfully disapointed. the overall Storyline is great in my opinion. although lacking in some areas. the graphics are superb better then i would expect but after playing the previous game i am not suprised. great Gore and fatalities from all races along with excelent lighting effects and visual effects.
Summary: Managed to get an early copy of this game and I have to say when I started the game as the marine I REALLY loved it. So atmospheric, good graphics and bucketloads of alien slaughtering. However the marine campaign is FAR too short, so you are then left with the Predator and Alien campaigns. My problem is I really can't get the hang of either of the other species, in either single player or multiplayer.
Summary: There are 2 versions of this game available. There is the original release in the brown box (see main image) with all its bug-ridden problems that you will need to download a few patches to play if you even want to think about getting close to completing it and theres the greatly repaired prepatched and much more playable Gold version.
Summary: I am not one of these people who lives for computer games but do like to play on them a bit .I have a number of games and i must say that Aliens vs. Predators has got to be one of the best .It has so many reasons for making it a good game .It has brilliant graphics and runs really smoothly. Is it the vast choice of levels available or the fact you can play single player doing missions or you can play skirmish missions as well as the multiplayer.
Aliens Versus Predator (PC): A Recommended Game For All PC Gamers !
23 December 2000
Summary: Long a fan of the Aliens and Predator movies, I was delighted to see the game Aliens versus Predator appear on the scene. I’ve always wondered just how well the galaxy's deadliest hunter would fair against the galaxy's deadliest parasite. Stick a poor human in the mix, and wow, what a concept. How does the poor human fair? In multi-player mode, fairly well actually. The Colonial Marine’s main strength is his weapons, both in offensive power and sheer multitude.
Aliens Versus Predator (PC): Extraterrestrial Homesick Blues
13 November 2000
Summary: Aliens Versus Predator was a game that was a long time in development. Suspiciously long. The result is a remarkably average game. I have the Gold Edition of the game, which comes on two discs, oddly only one of which that the game has ever actually asked me for, which begs the question of what comes on the second disc.
Pros: Very well presented, great graphics, good sound, a fantastic idea
Cons: Not very involving, uninspired missions, monotonous "skirmish" option, limited lastability, disappointing multiplayer options
Summary: I nearly bought this when it first came out but due to some less than favourable reviews and the fact you couldn't save in game I didn't. After some patches to cure the usual bugs and a save game option, Fox Interactive bought out the "Gold" edition of Alien versus Predator. For Gold, read game it should have been in the first place..... Whilst browsing in HMV I came across the Gold edition for £15, a far cry from the £35 they wanted for it originally.
Summary: I loved every second of this game. Just like the movies..i was scared the whole time. Almost every dreaded sound heard in the movie has been ported over to this game. Levels are almost a carbon-copy of the movies..all having that dark, frightening claustraphoic feel to them. The characters have been recreated well. Their models look absolutely stunning. All-in-all, if your a fan of the alien and predator movies..
Summary: This is a pretty good single player game. There are some really quite scary moments (Face-Hugger...AAAARRRGGGHHH!!!!), and the three different play styles give it that extra replay value. However, there are a few things that could be improved. For example, you could do with a few other marines to team up with (in an Opposing Force manner). You get a little lonely running around on your own. Also, the alien, while interesting to begin with, is ultimately very dull.
Pros: Good single player game (well, for the marine and pred, anyway)
