Summary: First of all, let's get one thing straight: I'm not a noob. From reading other people's reviews here, I can see a lot of them simply haven't been playing long, and Aion is very deceptive in that sense. I've been playing this game on and off nearly since launch, and I currently have four geared level 55 characters. I've played both factions, done both PvP and PvE, and have played all classes and roles. That settled, let's get down to the facts.
Summary: This game offered a lot of what I look for in a MMORPG but the strong Korean influence was a major turn off for me. I knew it was korean, but because of the reviews I gave it a shot. The graphics are beautiful and the characters are hugely customizable. The first part of lvling was a bit of a drag, but ok. You are going to want to be sure you have a broadband connection; wireless and satelite just wont cut it.
Summary: I played this game from launch, and up to a couple months ago. All I can say is, quit while your ahead. The developers of this game are koreans, so whenever there is a updates koreans get it first. Then, this update gets passed on to the U.S. counter-parts to be tested and implemented. This process can take up to a couple months and is aggravating, mainly due to if you find a bug it takes months for them to fix it.
Summary: I have been playing WOW for about two years and then turned to Aion after getting burnt out. (I didn't even play WOW too regularly, but enough to know what was going on and how to play decently) Aion is such a beautiful game with the uniqueness any MMORPG needs to make it big. It's different enough to stand out but has the same basic skeleton of most MMOs so that it's easy to pick up and learn even if you are new to gaming.

Summary: I've only been playing this game a little less than a week and this is the first time I've ever played an MMORPG and I have to say, I'm seriously enjoying this game! The graphics alone make the game awesome, but the gameplay is cool too! I think the one thing that really makes this game so great to me is grouping up with people. Most of the gamers are respectful and cool which can make or break an MMORPG sometimes, hence why I've been so skeptical about getting one.
Great MMORPG hampered by bizarre business practices of NCsoft

Summary: Being a new player to Aion, I do really like the game, my main complaint is about NCsoft and their very very poor business practices(they are rated a B- on the Better Business Bureau website if that tells you anything). First I was enjoying this game for about a month and half before for no reason known to me, they banned my account, without and email to me or anything. First off I was trying to think of anything I may have done, and I couldn't think of anything.
Summary: The downside of this expansion is that the three new zones are for level 50+ characters... I hear they are wonderful... new flying mechanics, now PvP combat style. But like many the grind of the upper levels in Aion has kept me from getting to the point where I can see the new zones. The up side is that new zones are not the only thing that was added. The UI for quests has been greatly i mproved by showing all of the available quests in a zone on the zone map.
Excerpt: I first heard about this game when I was really bored, looking for new games in the internet. They said it's going to be a hit..Then I bought the game, it was really good in terms of visual appearance, beautiful soundtracks, good story, hardly repetative. At first it Did look like a rip from World of Warcraft. But Eventually I found out that only the UI (User Interface) was identical. And few transportation similarities.
Pros: Visually Stunning Graphics, Extreme Gameplay, Bright Future of the Game
Summary: It was when I reached level 29 that I finally stopped and realized I hadn't had any fun with the game in days. The only quests remaining were kill X mob quests that were repeatable that gave only slightly more experience than a standard mob kill. The most efficient way of leveling is to group up with people and run instances over and over again. I played around with PvP a little and it was pretty fun.
