Summary: Age of Pirates: Caribbean Tales is set in the 17th Century Caribbean, and is in my honest opinion, the BEST offline pirate themed game on the market. The only reason I did not give a score of 10 is because the main quest of the game is flawed. You see, Playlogic didn't plan a main quest at all; It was added in shortly before release, as was the female character Beatrice, hence why she is treated like a man by many NPCs in the game.
Conclusion: Don't. Just don't. Try "Sid Meyer's Pirates" instead. Or, if you want something more in-depth, there's "Port Royale 2".
Pros: The "sailing around the ocean" graphics are quite pretty. And sailing through a tropical storm is a blast. And I'll always have a soft-spot in my heart for directionless sandbox games. The management aspects for your crew and officers was nice, but it's occasionally a double-edged sword.

Pros: Brilliant game play, very engaging, fantastic battles !
Cons: slightly lacking in the graphics department . A little complex to start with .
Conclusion: I got this game and i was dieing to play it! however once insalled it would not play and an "Engine.exe" error kept appearing and closing the game before i even had chance to play it. I have looked around on many forums and it seems to be an extremly common error with absolutly no solution!! I was sooo disapointed i had to send this game back because i had such high expectations.
