Summary: Sadly, I love Age of Mythology but I hate Ubisoft's support of the Gold Edition they produced. If you have older Microsoft Ensemble CD-ROM versions even with the AoM 1.10 & AoMX 1.03 updates you will not be able to play Direct LAN games with this version from Ubisoft. Sadly, there are posts out there about this issue and about how Ubisoft made every copy of this version have the same Product Keys and Ubisoft didn't help.
Summary: What a waste, i just wasted my time and money, this game is not even close to be optimized for a new pc, i have a pc with core i5 4th generation 8 gb ram and intel hd 4000 graphics, and this game is just full of lag, they dont even care about the performance and the graphics are not HD, i just threw $30 dollars
Summary: Fantastic game... for those reading the large bulk of these negative reviews, know that the game was released a bit before it was truly ready. However, the game is now completely functional and lag free. The new competitive ladder system is awesome, and the new graphics look beautiful. I must repeat again, a month ago, these negative reviews are understandable.
Summary: This was a great idea! Having both Age of Mythology games all in one disk, but after I installed the game and immediately played it all the way through the game had then started to be unresponsive. What I mean by unresponsive is that it does absolutely nothing now when I press play, the game will go to the main menu where it asks which AOM game I wish to play, but when i click on one it does nothing... I dont know if anyone else has this problem, but I do.
Summary: I didn't see too much of an improvement over the OLD original game, besides the mild update on the graphics. $30 is almost criminal to charge for this. You would have expected something for that like new maps, races etc. MEH...
