Summary: I bought this game online but for some reason I couldn't play it, because it was asking for CD and to restart the game. I contacted the seller and it seems like he doen't wanna get the game back.
Summary: Installed the game and it would not work on Single Player Version. It kept asking for the CD to be installed even though the CD was in the cd rom drive. Tried uninstalling and reinstalling but does not work. Spent time looking up fixes but still does not work. I do not recommend buying this product. There is no customer support.
Summary: This game is not compatible with my version of Windows (Vista Home). Ironically, the one I'm attempting to replace, which I've owned since the 1990's worked just fine until I rolled over it in my computer chair. Be sure to check compatibility before you purchase anything from anyone.
Summary: Only one disc came in the box. I installed the game, and then tried to play a single player game (the only type I'm really interested in). The message on the screen said that in order to play a single player game, I had to insert the play disc. The only disc I received was in the drive. I tried several times, tried reinstalling, turning the computer on and off, the usual stuff - same message. Insert play disc. WTF? Total rip off.
Summary: After install when I run single player it keeps asking for me to insert the CD in the drive. The CD is IN the Drive. Even has a laser printed label on the wrapper that asks customers to please contact them before returning. Apparently it is a recurring issue, enough so that they include this label. Walk away.
Summary: I think I am an exception here, but my disc refused to load. I tried in three different CD/DVD drives on two different computers and this disc would spin up and...nothing. Dunno if it demagnetized due to old age or what. Disc looked 100% fine and was scratch-free, but I had to return it. Bought a similar Age Of Kings disc set here on Amazon and it worked 100% fine.
Summary: Okay, I got this game for free somehow, actually, my dad did and he gave it to me. So I thought "whoa, cool." I mean, it was a history-based RTS game by microsoft, it had to be good, right? Wrong. The game lacks, it's slow, the gameplay is difficult, there are many unnecessary units that I never used, and the graphics are nothing new. While I was intrigued by the historical aspects of the game, I was quickly bored with the playing of the game itself.
Summary: I bought this game Age of Empire first part the original one back in 2002 or 2003 when it has been introduced then unfortunately I broke my CD unintentionally, so I was looking for this game all these years as it's the best between all parts since you start from Stone Age till Nano age and the resolution and units and campaign Were much better then all what follow later in part 2 and 3 , I was happy to find again the part 1 but soooooo dissipointed when I received it,...
