Summary: I played AOC for 2 years starting one month after launch. I LOVED this game. I still have good friends that I met playing this game and we play together in other mmos now. I left due to guild drama *smirk*, and then was encouraged to come back awhile later when this expansion came out. I was excited at first. Then I installed it AND... I did not like it. Oh the story line was great... the landscape was magnificent...
Summary: Fairly good game. Will keep you entertained for quite a while and offers some interesting features. Age of Conan always had a ton of potential in my opinion, but today it feels like the devs don't care about it anymore. Today I had to delete one of my chars because of a bug. I was trapped in a chamber and the mob that was supposed to drop the key, did not drop it. So I was stuck there, couldn't teleport out, re-logging didn't help.
Summary: Age of Conan is still one of the best MMORPG out there. RotG gives you plenty of things to do for hours and hours... Also the Tier 4 instance is very challenging and fun. Buy the expentionpack, join a guild and have fun...
Summary: I have to give this expansion a ZERO. Why? Because if you buy it off of a retail shelf, it is unplayable. You then have to re-purchase the game via the game's item shop. Unplayabe games or products that aren't games at all get a 0/10. CAVEAT EMPTOR!
Summary: i see age of conan amongst the games that will have the brightest future, definately brighter than an mmo like swotr. What is most inspiring is that aoc is constantly getting better with a crew that seems very efficient for the its actual size
Summary: This year,Age of Conan went F2p "free to play" which was a smart move by Funcom. I'm not really into F2p games due to the lackluster content..but Age of conan hangs right with the best MMO's out there even today. many people left at launch due to bugs and glitches, but today you see the playerbase rising at a steady pace.
Summary: AOC Rise of the Godslayer is junk. I can't imagine anyone ever paying a subscription to this game. Every zone in the world is instanced, making travel between them an irritating nightmare of staggering frustration and boredom. I spent, what seemed like an eternity, in Tortage trying to level my way out of there so I could see the rest of the world of Conan only to be overwhelmingly underwhelmed. PVP? I have no idea.
