Summary: This game is not playable without stopping and looking at the walkthrough constantly. Not comparable to Nancy Drew. This is a complete waste of money. I finished it so I could delete it and I usually play each game I get 2 or 3 times at least.
Summary: I've been stuck on Nancy Drew in "large file" games but decided to try this one for a change. I really enjoyed it although I had to use a walkthrough. I think you should have one on hand unless you can handle frustration well. There are a few red herrings that you end up never really using. You can do a few things that aren't necessary to solve the mystery but are kind of fun. You also don't have a lot of tedious errand running like you get with the Drew series.
Summary: I don't know whether I just have bad luck but I ran into weird glitches every step of the way in this game. The most annoying would be random black areas in the game. It was also very easy to miss key quest items and it wouldn't let you go back and get them. If you didn't go to certain areas or to talk to certain people at certain times you would miss key info.
Summary: Pros: Puzzles were fun, exploring the island and hotel, 4 possible endings Cons: Constant backtracking, easy to skip important items or information, in order to move on you must to talk to everyone (sometimes twice) which leads to about half the game being nothing but watching characters interact with one another (and by "interact I mean "stand around talking"), main character doesn't seem to "react" to information gathered from said conversations, saving (often) can be...
Summary: I'm not sure how to review this game without spoiling much of it so let me simply say that this game is good for passing the time aways but there really isn't much point in it. If you hate losing then BUY THIS GAME because you really can't lose. The fact is, you either figure out what you are supposed to do next or you just walk around aimlessly until you do. It's not like you can die or anything.
Summary: I like adventure games but they screwed this one up. It's a good concept but unlike Syberia or other good adventure games, this game just didn't turn out well. I put mine in the wastebasket tonight(seriously) without even finishing it; it simply isn't worth the time.
Summary: I mostly enjoyed the game. I liked the plot, characters, enviroment, and voice acting. There were 2 cons for me: 1- Towards the end, I had to wonder around so many areas to find my next hint. It could be a small item laying on the ground, in a place I've looked a million times before. The game map is large, with tons of places to search, so this got very annoying. 2- I had numerous items in my inventory when the game ended that I never needed.
Summary: This was my favorite of all of Agatha Christie's books, and I couldn't wait to play the game. The game was really great, but just like "Murder on the Orient Express" some of the puzzles were too hard. Story-You are a boatman who is just taking 8 guests over to an island for weekend party with their hosts and two servants. When you get there, however, someone ruins your boat making it impossible for you to return.
Summary: Ok - I LOVE LOVE LOVE this book and the British movies, et al. So I think - cool - I can play a game that will have some of the same suspense as the book/movie. While this is true - the graphics are good and the overall look of the game is nice - the game play is HORRIBLE. Once I figured out all the characters are exactly the same as the book and the plot is exactly the same, I got a sinking feeling in my stomach about the $30 I had just spent...
