Excerpt: There are hardly any sci-fi fans who have not heard of Doctor Who. Created originally as a television series by BBC in 1963, Doctor Who is now the longest (though not continuous) running sci-fi television show of all time. In Series 5 (2010) of the show, the Doctor is the played by Matt Smith, and his travelling companion Amy (Amelia) Pond is played by Karen Gillan.
Excerpt: Tesla Effect: A Tex Murphy Adventure is the sixth game in the Tex Murphy series created by Chris Jones and marks the return of this beloved series after a 16-year hiatus. Based on the novel Tex Murphy and the Tesla Effect penned by Aaron Conners, the game's story picks up after the cliffhanger ending in Tex Murphy: Overseer but quickly pivots to an original mystery involving an ancient cult and a lost invention of Nikola Tesla.
Summary: If there was one genre of game that really needed a Kickstarter shot in the arm, it was the Full Motion Video adventure game. Point-'n'-click adventure games were doing just fine, pre- Double Fine Adventure but the legacy of FMV games was a technological dead end. In the mid-1990s, the Tex Murphy series of adventure games were maybe the highpoint of the FMV craze, offering a good mix of point-and-click puzzle-solving and storytelling.

Besides gaining life meters several times the length of your own, enemies gain the ability to lock half of your pieces so that they can't be used, or to devalue them so that playing the selected tiles gains you no particular advantage. Worse, they may even set things up so that playing your own pieces damages you!
Summary: If fast cars, intense competition, and thrilling bumper-to-bumper action are your idea of a rollicking good time, Cabela's 4x4 Off-Road Adventure 3 might not be for you. In fact, the game actually penalizes speed.
