Condition of the Boxes are horrible
17 December 2013
Summary: I bought two as gifts & they must be returned. They look like they have bounced around in a clearance bin for 10yrs.If ever I bought a game in this condition it was $0.25-$1.00 yet they charge $5 for this. Can't tell you about the gameplay since it must be returned unopened.
Summary: if you are running a windows 7 or higher chances are it wont work for you either, it played the through first misstion come to the secound one and game crashes with no error report I wouldnt buy it unless you are running xp
Summary: I do not recommend the game. 1. I played for 15 minutes. The obscenity "GD" was used twice. Using obscene language unnecessarily and frequently detracts from the positive viewpoint games can be in. Example: teaching people about military tactics is a positive aspect of games given defending people is something to be proud of so long as the cause is just. Some games meet the need and value of being educationally entertaining.
Summary: Very hard to find a computer that it will run on as the game is so finicky on
its hardware requirements. Not impressed as I have tried to load it on three
different computers that supposedly are in excess of its requirements. Only to
have it fail to install on two out of three machines. On the third machine it
installed but kept crashing so often it is useless as a game.
Summary: Yeah, you need to be careful of this one. I have a 3Gig P4 with IGig of
533 RAM and 128MB 6600GT PCI-e video card and the game, even patched, kept
freezing and crashing ( this same machine runs Doom3, Quake4, HL2, FarCry etc
without any issues and on high settings).
Atari response to my queries was pathetic (install DX9.0c -DUH!) and then
non-existent. Atari get 0 out of 10 for service. Beware.
