Age of Empires with a Game of Thrones theme

K.B., Amazon
25 September 2014
  • Summary: This game got horrible reviews in the press, which as a huge Game of Thrones/ASOIAF fan really disappointed me. Amazon had a great sale, and for the $5 investment I figured it was worth trying out and lining GRRM's pockets with a little more cash. I was not disappointed in this game at all.

Decent game

Jenny H, Amazon

  • Summary: Pretty decent game overall, could do with some slightly more in-depth stories and better graphics. Perhaps this might come later on, but overall a really good game for fans of the series or for a general games.

First Class

David J Evans, Amazon
19 July 2013
  • Summary: I bought this game after getting into the tv series.I wasn`t dissapointed. The graphics are a little dated but to be expected on a two year old release. The game play is intense and reminds me of Dragon Age Origins. The pre rendered scenery is great. The music is epic.

Good single player game

Eunice Fay Doucet-Lorang, Amazon
27 February 2013
  • Summary: This is a good single player game that holds generally true to the feel of the books and the HBO series. What I don't like about this game is that it is too easy to miss sidequests and special objects. I don't know yet if I can go back and collect these items later.

worth persevering with

luap, Amazon
24 October 2012
  • Summary: Many of the negative reviews of this seem to be from people who didn't play all that far into the game. That's understandable because the narrative takes a long, long time to get going properly and I found that, in the first 6 chapters or so, the quests were largely predictable and repetitive - and...

Well worth the money

Old Gamer "questworld", Amazon
26 June 2012
  • Summary: As a fan of the books and the (excellent) TV series, I pre-ordered this game as I thought it would be worth checking out. Although it arrived on release day, I didn't get around to installing the game for more than a week, during which time I spotted some fairly critical reviews and began to worry...

A great Story

Lawrence Campbell, Amazon
18 June 2012
  • Summary: This is an RPG of the like that hasnt been seen for years, the only comparison being the Witcher. It has grey moral choices, twists, choice repercussions it is a very well written story that kept me hooked. It does not treat you like a fluffy bunny where people of the world are either good or bad.

Good for Fans

Rhys Peak, Amazon
10 June 2012
  • Summary: If you are a fan of the Song of Ice and Fire Novel series or the Game of Thrones HBO series and are also a fan of CRPG's then I recommend you give this game a try. The game may not be to the high standards of The Witcher 2 or Dragon Age but it is still a fun game.
