Review: 1 Moment of Time: Silentville (PC)
6 July 2012
Summary: While it certainly does some things well, Silentville also hits all of the traps of the genre. The story lags due to pacing issues, the presentation is often bland, and the challenge is nil. On the plus side, it has the most engaging hidden object sections I’ve seen is such a game.
Excerpt: A common theme for hidden object games is the search for missing people. At this point, having looked for countless villagers, patients, kids, parents, damsels in distress and significant others, I was hoping upon firing up 1 Moment of Time: Silentville for a new spin on the “missing persons” idea.
Pros: Charming hand drawn cinematics. A smattering of interesting puzzles. Decent narration and music.
