Summary: Testing & Usage
I haven’t picked up a flight simulator game, let alone a joystick in over 8 years, so getting used to one again took me a little bit of time. After popping in the HAWX game, installing it and about an hours’ worth of play and I was back to being used to a joystick. I had no idea at first which buttons were which, so it also took me a while to figure them out.
Playing the free Tom Clancy’s HAWX game included was certainly a benefit and fun to play.
Conclusion: The T.1600M is very responsive and easy to use, the buttons on the stick itself are nicely placed and easy to reach. It’s nice to be able to just plug it in and go without having it install any extra software. I did find the buttons on the base a little to close together, but they still are usable. If you need a joystick for you gaming then certainly look into getting this one.
Pros: Well made, No extra software to install, Plug and play, Sensitive to movements, Lots of buttons, Truly adds to gaming experience, Easy to use
Thrustmaster T.16000M Flight Stick and H.A.W.X review

Excerpt: Icrontic reviews Tom Clancy’s HAWX from Icrontic.com on Vimeo . When I got the box from Thrustmaster while I was on the road, I couldn’t wait to get home and unbox it. The moment I wrapped my hands around the flightstick, I got a grin on my face; I felt like a little kid in an airplane museum who gets to sit in a real cockpit. There are all kinds of buttons and knobs on the Thrustmaster T16 that add to the sense that you’re about to fly a serious machine.
Summary: As you can see below, the Thrustmaster T.16000M has a pretty traditional look that really doesn't offer any frills, but is very functional. There are a total of twelve buttons on the base - six on each side of the stick. Buttons 1-4 are all located on the stick itself for a total of 16 buttons in all.
Pros: Magnetic sensing offers greater precision, Ambidextrous design - includes button swapping, Nice fit in the hand - buttons are well placed, Multiple axis always center, No software installation required
