Summary: In all if you''re looking for the HOTAS to end all HOTAS'' this is it. With all the features and 100% compatibility with DCS A-10C Warthog you just can''t go wrong. I expect to have this HOTAS for many years to come. If you''re serious about simming look no further the Warthog gets the job done.
Pros: This is by far the finest HOTAS I''ve ever owned or used. My main stick before was a Saitek X52 HOTAS. Not a bad budget setup but not comparable in terms of quality, feel or looks. I should also point out that I''ve used many high end joysticks over the years like the TM Cougar and a few CH HOTAS'' and the Warthog blows them all away. If you''re looking for a high end joystick that will last a long time this is a great investment for a flight sim enthusiast. If you''r...
Cons: I can''t think of any cons really. Some people write in many reviews that it''s too much money but that''s nonsense and not a con. Nice joysticks like this cost money you can''t complain if it''s more than you''re willing to spend.
Summary: Probably the best flight stick money can buy hands down, key word being money. Quality is expensive and this Joystick has both quality and price. I upgraded to this from a Saitek X52. The feel and control is amazing. Thrustmaster did their homework on this one. The controls and toggle switches are top quality and have a military feel to them. With the exception to the Throttle sticks, the entire thing is constructed out of metal including the flight stick itself.
Summary: Emphatically YES!!
The stick is of a quality I would expect from the aircraft industry. It is cold
steel and will probably last longer than me. The throttle control is like
something out of Darth Vaders bathroom and when the green LED's light up, it is
an attractive sight.
I was a bit surprised by the amount of play in the throttles though.
I expected the same quality and precision that went into the stick, but it is
still within acceptable parameters.
Summary: I've been doing flight sims since 1992 and the Warthog outstrips anything
I have ever had!
It's design is brilliant and the quality is a league ahead of anything else out
It is on par with what you will find in a cockpit of a real jet
It is plug and play with DCS-A10C and if you combine this with rudder pedals it
is quite realistic.
Summary: having had this unit for for a little while, i have found it to be one of
the best pieces of equipment for simming with. this is best put to use with DCS
A10c but can be used for il2 etc.
the target software is still in its infancy and there are still bugs to be
worked out with firmware but i can easily see this lasting 10+ years due to its
only draw back is not enough sliders/rotaries for ww2 flight sims.
