Works great with my Win 7 PC
15 December 2014
Summary: Works great with my Win 7 PC. Build quality is solid and confidence-inspiring. The controller is ergonomic (though in my opinion the PS3 controller is a little more comfortable to hold... I find the placement of the top "shoulder" buttons to be a little awkward.), it worked out of the box, and the everything was included in the box: batteries and the wireless USB receiver.
Summary: You can only be a PC Keyboard / Mouse Elitist for so long. Seeing that so many games are developed for multiplatform now, many games fall victim to being designed around controllers - and kb/mouse support is a pure afterthought. It is perfectly ok to be a PC Gamer but use a controller. Look at it this way - You get the visual experience of PC, and the control experience of what a game was intended for. If you play platformers...
Summary: The unavoidable reality of the PC gaming scene these days is that many games are straight up console ports. Without criticizing the situation too much, some games won't even bother to change the control icons to reflect the keyboard & mouse bindings while others are just simply more intuitive with a controller setup.
Summary: If you prefer the Xbox controller over the Playstation one, this is the model to get for your PC. Most if not all games that support controllers won't need any configuration to work with this.
Pros: Cheap when on special (39.99$), Works great without any configuration
Summary: Definitely one of the best controllers ever made. Perfect for PC gaming when it comes to platformers and fighting games. I've used this with Spelunky, Watch Dogs, Devil May Cry, and a bunch of other games. Solid, quality product.
Summary: I downloaded Joystick 2 Mouse, an application that allows you to port your mouse to your gamepad and also reassign values, inputs to your specs for various applications. I set mine up for MAME. PC games, Windows operations and HTPC. Works totally 100% and in fact I will be buying three more of these for the family. You can install up to four pads per transceiver and the Joystick 2 Mouse will allow you to map and customise up to 16 pads, controllers at once.
Summary: Just plug in the adapter and turn on the controller. No driver downloads necessary. Every game I have played so far with this controller on my PC has automatically recognized the controller. I have not needed to change any keybindings for the controller in game settings.
