Great for the time it worked.

Summary: Never unplug the adapter from your PC. I unplugged mine one day (the first time I ever unplugged it in about a year) to charge my cell phone (which I usually do in a wall outlet), afterward I plugged it back in and no light. The thing is totally dead after unplugging it once. I can't even use it for a paperweight now.
Summary: I am surprised at the low quality of this controller. I have many Microsoft products that are very rugged and have stood the test of time. I even, to the shock and amazement of my gaming friends, still have an original pre-ordered XBox 360. So it came as a bit of disappointment that this controller has three problems that combined render it virtually useless. Firstly, the right-hand side trigger squeaks every single time it is pressed and then again when it is released.
Summary: I wanted an Xbox controller to to use with games that had the Xbox controller option. The unit worked great for four months then today the wireless receiver for the controller just stopped working. The green light no longer comes on and does not work on any of my other computers. The controller itself is still good, but since I don't own an Xbox 360, it is just a paperweight. I have contacted Microsoft and I should receive a call from them tomorrow.
Summary: For those of you that know gamepads, the drivers that MS includes with the gamepad won't allow you to change the triggers (showing it as a "Z" axis) to buttons. So, if you like newer games that have support for this gamepad then go ahead and buy it (because the triggers will work with "Games for Windows" games!) but for older games you will not have the luxury of assigning commands to the triggers..
Summary: The XBox 360 controller in and of itself is a highly functional piece of gaming hardware that has contributed greatly to the success of the XBox 360 platform. With this offering, Microsoft has attempted to recreate that success on the Windows platform. Unfortunately, their attempt sorely misses the mark in terms of driver and configuration support. Yes, you can take this controller out of the box and plug it into your PC and it will "work".
XBox Controller Apparently Not Compatible With Older Games

Summary: I bought this last week hoping to play some older PC games I have like Tony Hawk Pro Skater 3 & Need for Speed Underground (the original). Unfortunately, I haven't been able to get this device to work with either game yet. I believe it has something to do with how Windows recognizes the controller. It works fine in Crysis and probably works well with contemporary titles.
Not compatible with various games such as Call of Duty 4 for PC

Summary: I bought this product from amazon and it's the same controller that comes with the XBOX 360 with the addition of a wireless transmitter/receiver that plugs into a USB port. But here's the problem: I can't get it to work with various games on my PC. It works completely fine with the Orange Box on PC. But when i tried it with Oblivion for PC, the game wouldn't recognize the control sticks (joysticks), which makes it useless.
