No dongle = useless right now Dont buy GPSTOCK

Bastiat, Amazon
20 June 2014
  • Summary: I ordered this because it said that it DID come with a usb dongle. When I received mine today, there was no dongle. That makes this controller more expensive than a deal I passed up for this one, makes it useless to me currently, and makes it much more expensive than a one that legitimately comes with a dongle as others have posted because it would require a purchase of dongle itself. This was a sold by GPSTOCK and fulfillment by amazon.

Xbox controller for WINDOWS - it is not! No dongle! "GPStock" are scam-artists using the Amazon review FLAW to scam customers

MLW "Clorinda", Amazon
18 June 2014
  • Summary: - - ******************* This review is for the product sold by "GPStock" ******************* - ************************ NOT a review for the one sold BY AMAZON!! ******************** - - This is the verified purchase proof. Here is the deal, Amazon blends the freaking reviews from one product into another, and changes the products in and out and sellers in and out and back and forth all the time without warning. I'm really getting sick of this practice.

  • Summary: - - ******** This review is for the product sold by GPStock ********* *********** NOT, I repeat, NOT the one sold BY AMAZON!! ********* - (Amazon LUMPS all the reviews into one huge, misleading mess though) - - I bought the controller under a different account that has Prime. I will write a small review on that account to prove it. What I say in this review did just actually happen.

Microsoft Xbox 360 Wireless Controller for Windows not for Windows

stillhazard, Amazon
4 December 2013
  • Summary: Didn't work. My friend warned me about it. They have a reputation for not connecting, it's ridiculous. I have Windows 7 64-bit and I updated all the drivers, I called customer support and transferred to level two technical support only to be met by some lazy Indian dude that wasn't really that helpful. He just said to return it. The thing is when i first installed it it said it was successfully installed but the receiver and controller did not link.

Doesn't Work

JC, Amazon
11 August 2013
  • Summary: The controller refuses to sync with the wireless receiver, rendering it useless for playing PC games. At least I can still get some use out of it with my Xbox 360.

Do yourself a favor - get the wired version

A. Elisha, Amazon
13 June 2010
  • Summary: This controller is great, but the wireless receiver is terrible. It stopped working within days. Turns out that it's a widespread issue. The fuse in this thing blows quickly and stops working. Getting a warranty replacement from Microsoft's customer service is a 1 month process. Save yourself the headache - get the wired receiver.

Great controllers but the wireless receiver stink.

J. Calen, Amazon
3 September 2009
  • Summary: The transceivers that come with the controllers are crap, shame I didn't learn about it until after I picked one up but these things have been failure prone for years. The power draw is high and users have had USB devices that were plugged in simultaneously fail (actual device failure, just just plug back in failure), and even if it doesn't kill other devices, the receiver is prone to fail itself.
