Breaks quickly

Anonymous, Newegg
  • Summary: It was a mistake to buy this. I had really hoped the complaints about the poor quality of the receiver were just people talking smack but it is absolutely not. If this horribly low-quality component breaks, your controller effectively becomes a paper weight. Microsoft can sure do better.
  • Pros: Exactly what you'd expect from an official 360 controller. Wireless sounds nice in theory. Seems efficient in terms of battery use. Good range.
  • Cons: I chose to ignore all the people who were saying the wireless receiver included was a piece of garbage and that was a big mistake. I was just playing a game yesterday, and the receiver died totally out of the blue. I'm not sure if this is driver or hardware, but now I can't get the device to reco...

DO NOT BUY FROM AIM USA

Jason Pineda Obando, Amazon
8 May 2015
  • Summary: The controller itself is amazing. This is just a review of the store I got it from. DO NOT BUY FROM AIM USA. The controller arrived with the right analog broken and the left bumper crooked (although usable), the battery casing was broken as well but worked for a bit.

Worn in less than a month?

Paul L., Newegg
22 January 2015
  • Summary: About two weeks ago the right trigger started squeaking really loud when used. Sounds like the spring in there. Toady the "A" button is getting more annoying to press like it is snagging on something inside. I think I got one with a plastic burr or something inside. Too much of a hassle to RMA.
  • Pros: It matches everything I liked about the wired controller without the hassle of a cord getting in the way,
  • Cons: I started having similar issues as some others in their reviews with losing the signal and cycling to reconnect on the middle of a game. The lights have always cycled ever few moments since I got it, now the connection gets lost.

Beware the wireless adapter

Anonymous, Newegg
18 September 2014
  • Summary: When the adapter fried I searched a solution and it turns out this is fairly common for this device (chalk it up to "quality assurance" from Microsoft, thanks for your line of unreliable gaming devices). It is repairable with a soldering iron and replacement adapters are around $10.
  • Pros: Its a controller that can connect wirelessly.
  • Cons: I was essentially forced to buy this by game developers who refuse to put in proper controller support for their games and assume every one has one of these. To upset me even more than the above, the wireless adapter stopped working about a month after I got it. The controller still works and I c...

What's going on?

Claire, Amazon
14 August 2014
  • Summary: I purchased this item for my boyfriend on June 12 thinking it should last longer compare to other generic controllers. He did not even use it often until Agust 13, and it was working perfectly before. The controller just keeps disconnecting/shutting off on its own when it vibrates.

No dongle = useless right now Dont buy GPSTOCK

Bastiat, Amazon
20 June 2014
  • Summary: I ordered this because it said that it DID come with a usb dongle. When I received mine today, there was no dongle. That makes this controller more expensive than a deal I passed up for this one, makes it useless to me currently, and makes it much more expensive than a one that legitimately comes...
