Summary: Followed directions to a T, if there's something I'm missing I'd love to know what it is. I would love to change this review and play Dark Souls as well.
Pros: Unfortunately since I can't get it to work I haven't found one
Cons: Gotta jump through hoops to install the drivers on 64 bit systems, though its simple once it's explained. My major problem is that I have it up and running, but my controllers won't sync with it, neither of them. I tried multiple times, no interference around and still won't connect.
Microsoft Xbox 360 Wireless Controller for Windows not for Windows
4 December 2013
Summary: Didn't work. My friend warned me about it. They have a reputation for not connecting, it's ridiculous. I have Windows 7 64-bit and I updated all the drivers, I called customer support and transferred to level two technical support only to be met by some lazy Indian dude that wasn't really that helpful. He just said to return it. The thing is when i first installed it it said it was successfully installed but the receiver and controller did not link.
Cons: Can't install drivers, once i located the drivers it says that the drivers were located but there are errors and it cannot install the drivers. I also downloaded an updated program for windows 7 from Microsoft. Nothing has fixed this issue yet.
Cons: driver install is ridiculous. i have windows 7 and tried the disc it came with.. no luck. then the instructions on new egg to no avail. also you-tube instructions and it slowed my computer way down while the device was attached. frame rate dropped to inconceivably low to the point of crashing..... not good for windows 7 or above buy the slightly more expensive receiver or don't :(
receiver is defective, not compatible with windows 8 only 7 or lower
28 March 2013
Summary: receiver wouldn't turn on or connect to either of my laptops and before I realized it wasn't turning on the cd told me it wasn't compatible with windows 8. kind of crappy since I just bought a few new games to play on my new laptop. lucky man I am.

Summary: I checked on the MS website for wireless controllers. Only one poped up; the JR9-00011. The part number is not listed on this presentation. However, several other Amazon adds (from other resellers) exist for what has to be the same item. Only, for about $10 less. This looks to me to be a con...
