Summary: I'm not a gamer, so this review is intended for people who think this product is intended exclusively for gamers. I use this for everything!!! I'm a Video editor and bought this product to speed up my work using only one button for a shortcut instead of 3 or 4 on my keyboard (like ctrl+shift+alt+E - just to merge a layer in photoshop. -- now i only press "G7" and its done!) which does add hours to your work when you're working on long projects.
Summary: I ordered this product a few months ago, and I took a big leap by buying it without ever having tried it. I had tested a display model of the Razer Tartarus, and was considering buying the Tartarus. Upon further research, I noticed that not only was the G13 cheaper than the Tartarus, it also had some cool extra features that the tartarus lacks, such as custom RGB backlighting and the LCD panel.
Summary: Length:: 0:49 Mins According to their website: ------------------------------------------ --- ONBOARD MEMORY PROFILES --- A gameboard with a brain ------------------------------------------ --- G13 saves your profiles onboard, so --- you won't lose your settings even --- when you bring it to other PCs. And --- custom profiles are still active even --- if you're not running Logitech Gaming --- Software.
Summary: I play WoW, yes I'm one of those people... the thumb pad works perfectly for moving my character and I personally use 9 different spells with my fingers because I refuse to be reaching with my pinky or ring finger to get more usability out of it. I also have several of the surrounding keys doing lesser tasks like character screen, map etc. This gamepad also works great if you are not a fan of using a thumb pad.
Summary: I'll preface this by saying that I bought the G13 specifically for use in World of Warcraft, to which I recently returned after a long hiatus. It was between the G13 and the Razer Orbweaver, but I ultimately went with the Logitech because it had more keys and the reviews were solid. The G13 is extremely comfortable. The wrist rest is nicely padded, the keys feel good, the thumb joystick is well positioned (for the shape of my hand, at any rate).
Summary: I have used a g13 gamepad for the past several years. Due to health issues, I can't sit at a desk to use my computer, so having the g13 and the g600 both with programmable keys has allowed me to sit them on the arms of a recliner and use them from there. When my old g13 finally wore out, I decided to order a new one from this site. Within 3 weeks of purchase, the button underneath the joystick stopped working.
Summary: Love this controller i've used it for about 2years. The biggest downfall i've had recently was updating my system to "Windows 8.1" . When doing so the software is not compatible with the firmware meaning i recommend keeping an extra hdd with windows 7 on it.
Summary: This keyboard has a steep learning curve. You need to get used to it. It was somewhat difficult to set up with World of Warcraft as well. But once done it was nice being able to use the thumbstick to move around. Dominos helps to learn the keys as well.
Summary: When I first got this thing, I didn't have a gaming computer, but was in the process of getting one. Picked this up and messed around quite a bit to get used to it. Now I use it for everything. Whether it be games, schoolwork, or just browsing the internet, this thing is fantastic. My default profile has every command I could use in a browser. Scrolling, tab switching, selecting windows, copy/paste, close window, EVERYTHING. And that's all on one profile.
Summary: I've had the G13 for a while now, and it has not let me down yet! It's very responsive, and it fits smoothly in your hand. I can't game on a normal keyboard now because I'm so used to how it feels.
