  • Summary: BUY IT
  • Pros: This fan is near silent with the supplied resistor attached. Moves plenty of air as a side fan. The blue LED is a very cool blue color. Also, the silicone noise-dampening fasteners included are fan-tastic!! *cough*
  • Cons: There are only beige silicone fasteners. Since my case is black, I wish the fan came with a black option for these parts. Not a big deal though, as permanent markers write on ANYTHING!

Quiet?

Douglas D., Newegg
30 May 2008
  • Summary: Given the Zalman reputation, this is very disappointing. This is a fan to throw in a box.
  • Pros: It will move a lot of air
  • Cons: I understand that "Quiet" can be subjective, but this fan is not Quiet. Certainly not Ultra Quiet as advertised. A Scythe SY1025SL12H at full speed makes much less noise then this fan at half speed.

Perfect Blue LED 92mm

Kevin K., Newegg
12 May 2008
  • Pros: This is as far as I am concerned the best 92mm Blue LED fan out there. It blows tons of air and lights up the case wonderfully. The LEDs are a nice deep blue and it comes with rubber screws to keep the fan quiet. Buy this and you will not be disappointed!
  • Cons: The only problem is that this thing is rather pricy...

Moves air well

Christopher D., Newegg

  • Summary: MSI K8N Neo2 Platinum, AMD X2 4200+, Zerotherm BTF90 CPU Cooler, 3Gig ram, Sapphire Radeon X1650 512MB AGP, 500Gig Seagate With 32Mb Cache, 500 with 8MB, 320 with 16MB, 2 160 with 8MB, Dual DVD Writers, Dell PowerEdge 600SC Server Case with 120mm and 92mm fans
  • Pros: Have this on the front of my case and a stock Dell 120mm server fan on the back. They keep my system nice and cool, at between 100 and 110 fahrenheit.
  • Cons: A bit louder than the 120mm server fan without the resistor, but with it you can barely hear it.

Zalman Blue LED Case Fan

Joey A., Newegg
13 March 2008
  • Summary: I can't speak to the Red & Green, but the blue is a good deep blue.
  • Pros: Nice fan, great color & brightness, comes w/ an in-line power reducer (Noiseless Connector (RC56)) that really does make the fan just about silent. The package also includes screws as well as (Anti-Vibration Silicone Pins for fan installation (ZM-SP1)). These pins work great, but I tend to prefer the old-school screws...
  • Cons: Nada!
