Summary: Rock solid build. it outlasted the card I bought it for, and will keep using it for years to come hopefully!
Pros: Used on a 8600GT that finally kicked the can, but the Heat sink is still going strong! will use it again and again on future Graphic cards to come! -Quiet -Works, never got over 90*f on 5v. (wanted it to be quiet.)
Cons: Sticker heat sinks were barely able to hide under heat sink, no biggie I didn't like them anyways.
Summary: This was a replacement cooler for my Asus geforce EN9500GT, which sounded like a jet engine, and was starting to hum. I ended up just using the connector off the stock fan, and connecting the VF700 to the connector power connector on the video card, so the video card could control the fan.
Pros: Runs Quiet, cools well, multiple ways to connect for either 12v or 5v operation.
Pros: Installed it on my old Geforce 6600GT. My old fan had died and I didn't realize it since I hadn't gamed in awhile. This fan brought my card down from 140F(No fan) to 98F. Shipped fast from Newegg. They really know how to get stuff out the door fast!
Cons: I wasn't able to install all of the little heatstink stickys but I got most of them to fit under the huge fins.
Summary: This is the second one of these coolers I have owned. The first one I put on a EVGA 7600 GT and did great then too. I'll keep my 8800 GS for another year or so now that it runs so cool.
Pros: Price is dirt cheap. It's a Zalman so you know it's gonna work well. My EVGA 8800 GS was getting up to 90 C while playing Call of Juarez 2. My case has good ventilation but the stock fan wasn't doing the job. I installed this and my max temp is now 75 C. Most games like Guitar Hero World Tour don...
Cons: I bought this a brick and mortar store last weekend. This weekend I see that newegg has the solid copper version on sale. :( should have been more patient.
Summary: I am happy with the balance between quiet operation and reduced temps but others will probably want to use the 12v standard fan speed to reduce the cards core temp lower.
Pros: This fan has been around awhile and fits a multitude of video cards. In my case it fit my old ATi 9800 XT whose stock fan was moments away from quitting when I replaced it the VF700. Temps with the old fan were hovering around 77°C and the fan had become quite noisy as it was approaching the end ...
Cons: Loss of an expansion slot due to the added height of the cooler. No big deal for me but in small crowded cases this has to be taken into account.
Summary: Stock sinks had silicone pads that left slime on the memory sinks and was impossible to remove with acitone.I should have tried carb cleaner. heatsinks didnt want to stick because of the silicone residue.
Pros: I have two of these installed on a All in wonder 800 and a 850 platinum. The ATI 850 has temp. monitoring and the temps have dropped 20c and now I can use the ATI overdrive maxed and it never goes close to the red anymore. Also the 850 platinum had what looked like a good double slot cooling asse...
Cons: It didnt have a adapter to use the onboard power output to run the fan. Had to go straight from the power supply.
