Excerpt: Runs a tiny quieter and moderately cooler. Simple to set up. Replaced a flawed fan bearing in the OEM fan. I am satisfied with the acquire as my system is back up. The card with this attached is small longer than the stock 5850 card. I would have preferred to be in a position to plug the fan into the original video card output as opposed to the mechanical speed controller to the motherboard.
Excerpt: Good big cooler. If you take off the red houseing it can save some space. I have my 5850 that nonetheless functions clocked to 820の. I don't see and greater than 53C. Bricked my initial 5850. I'm guessing its since of the cheap thermal tape that is on the bottom of the vrm sink and ram sinks. I'm truly upset about it. For my second 5850 I used the stock plate and not the low cost ram coolers and whaaalaaa it works fine.
Excerpt: Cools Actually nicely. Also quite quiet. Installed on my reference 5850 which runs at 950の @ 1.2vStock temps were 51C idle and 83C load on Furmark.VF3000A temps are now 34C idle and 59C load. This cooler is really genuinely massive. The cooler hits my SATA ports. The thermal tape on the ramsinks are just tedious, they do not perform at all. Also the fan likes to hit the red shroud, so a small bending is essential.
Excerpt: Cools properly, dropped my temps ten-12 degrees. I idle at 30c in 2d and whilst operating Undesirable Business 2 at 1920x1080 everything maxed out I reach a maximum temp of 40c (used to idle at 39c in 2d and max out although gaming at 52c with stock cooler on ati XFX 5850 running at 80% fan speed). It is Quite very even with fans a max speed. I really can't hear it over my other fans. This issue is Big!!! Its about a 1 1ǚ inches longer than a XFX 5850 Black addition.
Excerpt: I've been eye-balling this cooler for a couple weeks. Newegg lastly got them in and I jumped on this. Delivers what it promises. There is now noticeably additional headroom for OC'ing my XFX Radeon 5870. The blue LED's are pretty boss as nicely. I also love the shiny red metal cover, but... I had to remove the shiny red metal cover to preserve one particular of the fans from hitting it. I'm still tweaking this, but for now it's off.
Excerpt: for my 5850. good style. cant hear it compared to the stock fan, which was horrid, stock fan was creating grinding sounds as if it was loose and uneven. so picked this up. Utilizing the FanMate2 on full. hardest part of installing was finding the baby screws off the board. cost was decent. its got blue leds!! ram heatsinks suck. wont stick with that tape that is attatched to them. maintain falling off. so im looking for an alternative atm.
