"Noiseless Computing"

Martin F., Newegg
15 October 2011
  • Summary: Has a Zalman cover which I didn't use because my case calls for the normal fan screws. This fan came with two narrow longish screws with screw-on covers. Make sure you have a couple extra normal fan screws on hand just in case (no pun intended!).
  • Pros: 4-pin power connector has option of silent mode or normal mode. Very quiet on silent mode, haven't tried normal mode yet. Easy install. Quality construction. Used this on my CM 690 II Advanced for CPU. Will be ordering another for top mount on left side panel as I need a slim fan to clear the VGA...

  • Pros: Small, RPMs, DURABLE.

  • Summary: Didn't find a use for it, not worth the hassle returning it...
  • Pros: Just a regular 90mm fan...
  • Cons: Not really a VGA fan, since I bought it for one of my older PCI-E Geforce cards, obviously was too big to fit.

Amazing Fan!

Anonymous, Newegg
10 August 2010
  • Summary: I bought two of these and installed them as front intake fans. They are amazingly quiet and keep the cramped insides of my uATX case very cool with an i7 920 and Geforce 460GTX at full blast!
  • Pros: Very silent and thin, two of these move a lot of air into the case. Perfect for my cube-shaped HTPC!
  • Cons: Would be nice to have more than just two speeds but that's ok, silent mode does the job well enough.

Used Behind the CPU in a CM690

Carl W., Newegg

  • Summary: I just tossed the fancy little logo grill and all other hardware in the cupboard...only wanted the fan and voltage splitter.
  • Pros: 2-ball fan is VERY quiet, esp. with the 5 volt adapter they give you. It actually moves some air around, too. Amazingly, this is meant for a GPU heatsink, but I just saw a 80 x 80 x 15mm 2-ball fan w/no LEDs...and it's a Zalman. This is the only time I've ever found EXACTLY what I wanted...and it...
  • Cons: No eggs off, but Cooler Master was intending an 'open' fan design, as opposed to a 'closed screw-hole' design (where there are tubes from one face to the next where the screws go in) to be used in the rear-CPU fan slot. So, if you want to, get ready to cut the fan plastic, or the case steel like ...

For me it's a graphics cooler anyway!

David M., Newegg
21 May 2010
  • Summary: The fan on the ASUS EAH4670 graphics card I bought about a year and a half ago was starting to squawk at intervals, and I already had this and another fan bookmarked for consideration.
  • Pros: Seems to be a decent quality narrow fan at a reasonable price. I am satisfied with the two voltage options. Even though it is not necessarily a graphics cooling solution for every application, for me it is a fine alternative to original equipment (which we all know is often either priced beyond r...
  • Cons: It should not be specified as "Compatibility: VGA Card Processor" without clarifying the intended application. It can however be a very suitable compromise for many applications as long as you realize this. Also, don't expect to control rpm apart from the two options specified, which is also no p...

good thin fan

Michael J., Newegg

  • Pros: thin. not too loud. i got this because my old case fan was rattling against my new heatsink so i needed some thing thinner.
  • Cons: none so far
