Drop more coin for a better one

  • Summary: Look for a better cooler IMO. The inlet outlet port size is great, but I had to use reducers for my Thermaltake 1/4 inch hoses. I would use a 4 point mounting for Northbridge Southbridge chip sets if I were designing a motherboard.
  • Pros: Works....after using alternate mounting fasteners. Huge water ports keeps flow restrictions to a minimum. Petite design allows installation in tight area. North Bridge runs cooler than stock sink.
  • Cons: Wooed by the modest cost, was offset by the poor mounting design as previously stated by others. I installed on a ASUS MB that uses the push pin design. BAD idea here. Attach hoses and it flips all over loosing contact with chip....Very bad..I ended up using small nuts, washers, and bolts to secu...

  • Summary: No problems with any other Zalman parts. This block was part of an upgrade to my build as I was changing out the old water and hoses. It should be done yearly.
  • Pros: Solid aluminum, no leaks Fits in ecs A770M-A
  • Cons: I have all the Zalman water blocks and was exited to get this one because SLI ran north bridge at 80c. Very sloppy Mounting suppose to be using push pin stile. top heavy with hoses on causes it to rock on the NB chip temps now at 100c will have to lock it with nuts and bolts

Does not fit nForce 780i SLI Motherboard

  • Summary: Submitting this review so that others do not make my same mistake.
  • Pros: Was not able to install it so can't share any Pros. Based on the other Zalman products I own I would expect it to perform really well.
  • Cons: Did not fit an EVGA 132-CK-NF78-A1 LGA 775 NVIDIA nForce 780i SLI ATX Intel Motherboard. Prior to purchasing I would have appreciated a warning or a list of compatible motherboards.
