Works perfect.

RJ N., Newegg
15 May 2011
  • Summary: It fit perfect putting my ZALMAN CNPS7700-CU on my new GIGABYTE GA-G41MT-S2P LGA 775 board but going into my Antec Aria case, it was hitting the PSU so I'll save it for another application. No fault of the adapter ring.
  • Pros: Well made hardware. Solid aluminium ring and brass pillars. It let me re-use the heatsink/fan off a dead 478 intel board.
  • Cons: None

Totally worth it to re-use a nice heatsink and fan setup

Pierre-Etienne P., Newegg
4 December 2010
  • Summary: I love it, love it love it! Oh and did I mention Newegg rocks?
  • Pros: Quite easy to install if you follow the instructions. I was able to re-use that Zalman heatsink and fan I was using with a 478 Pentium 4 3.00Ghz back in the days... Now I use it with an Intel Core 2 Duo 3.00Ghz LGA 775 Processor and it works great!
  • Cons: Shipping was 99 cents and was a little bit slower than the free shipping proposed with heavier items (1 lb. or more), but oh well I got it time to meet my deadline. It went from TN to GA, from GA to OH and then to me in IN...Why the long road like that I am not sure but oh well, if that is how th...

It Does What It Says It Will Do

  • Summary: Zalman rocks.
  • Pros: Guess what, it does exactly what it is meant to do - unless you have some sort of a weird, one-off MOBO.

Excelent

Anonymous, Newegg
30 March 2009
  • Summary: To bad I had to take the system apart to install this, wish I had seen it when I first bought all the parts. Still, no biggie to install. Thanks again NewEgg!
  • Pros: Just installed today on C2D E8400 (OC'd to 3.6Ghz), using old 7000AlCu cooler. Idle temp is about the same as it was with the stock cooler, but went from hitting 90+C in Prime95 stress tests (and subsequently crashing my system), to staying at or below 60C. Although, when I removed my stock heats...
  • Cons: Was a bit worried at first about the small amount of play in the heatsink to the left and right once I installed, but these were alleviated once I saw the new temps at load.
