Verry Good System

Manuela T., Newegg
7 July 2008
  • Summary: Mabey a more powerfull pump, but overall, great system!!!!!!
  • Pros: well i have owned this unit for quite a while now, and am so far VERRY impressed, but i have added a few things to it to make it more affective. I added a dual 120mm fanned radiator, i just bought a Aqua Aquastream XT Ultra pump ($200), dual 8800 Ultra video card cooling blocks, i put in hard dri...
  • Cons: This unit is great when you cooled just a video card and your cpu, but when you really start putting money into your system, i really rocomend changing the pump to a high dollar one, and change all your tubeing and fitting over to 1/2" or you will not be getting addicate cooling

Good Product

Charles K., Newegg
3 May 2008
  • Summary: Came with the ZALMAN WB4 Plus instead. It seems like a better block than the gold. As my first water cooling system I'm quiet happy that I installed this. When you are taking the air out of the system it says to tilt the system to the side , instead tilt the system forward to get the air out.
  • Pros: Keeps my system running cooler quieter. Keeps my AMD 64 X26400+ below 40C even under load. Put my 8800 GTS down from 66C to 50C under load with the Zalman 8800 GTS water block. Plenty of tube to place the system where you want.
  • Cons: The VGA block is really only for lower end cards. Tube gets soft when it warms up. Pump does seem weak for getting the air out.

  • Pros: Great looking and style!
  • Cons: The PRICE is drive people away from it and also, the pump in this unit is SUCK!!!!! the pump is very very very weak! I have to play around with this thing for 6-8 hours to get all the air out. After many hours, I finally got all the air out and this SUCKER start running. Whew.....I all most give ...

Most silent cooling system

Charles L., Newegg
13 March 2008
  • Summary: To all of the people here that are saying that the pump dies, while I'm sure this happens to some people, for the majority of the people seeing stopping problems (when the alarm sounds), make sure there are no air pockets!
  • Pros: The quietest cooling system I have ever heard (or not)!!! Keeps my vid card and E6850 running cool (E6850 at around 30 celsius). Best for someone that wants a completely silent system. I have this as well as the Antec P180, its a good combo for silent computing.
  • Cons: Pretty tough to install (the tubes are difficult to take off of the ports if you want to adjust them).

RESERATOR 2

Anonymous, Newegg
5 March 2008
  • Summary: I really like what I don't hear with my RES 2. The ZALMAN NB water block is worth buying. The unit is of high quality build. Mine has been running 3 months and no problems yet. If you add the extra pump and maybe a radiator, you will have a killer, QUIET system.
  • Pros: Hello, I purchased this unit at a COMP USA liquidation sale, so the price was killer. From reading the reviews at Newegg, I just went ahead and bought an additinal pump from the begining. I also bought a quality single fan radiator too. The included CPU block works well, but I am going to replace...
  • Cons: The priming setup. But you get the hang of it and once it's running, you won't have to do it again until you drain it. You should count on buying the added pump. On the bright side, you use the pump in the RES 2 just to pump to your second pump, so you can set the RES 2 at least 6ft+ away from yo...

Great so far...

Dan O., Newegg
12 February 2008
  • Summary: I got mine for under $200 at comp. usa going out of business sale, so well worth the price, but I was going to pay 300 anyways. See lots of complaints about priming the pump, but it was pretty standard procedure for purging a radiator pump.
  • Pros: Very quiet and easy to install. Dropped CPU temp by 15C instantly(E6850 Dual core), and dropped the temp in my stuffy office to boot. Pump has plenty of power once primed properly. Will never go back to fans. It was very well built and sturdy, good construction and design.
  • Cons: Had to pull motherboard to install CPU block. Priming pump was a little tedious, but once it got going, it was great. Just put res. cap back on and tilt back and forth till the gurgling stops. Had to squeeze the degassing tube due to kink from shipping, kink almost stopped flow completely. Box wa...

nice setup

darren b., Newegg
26 January 2008
  • Summary: running x6800 core 2 at 3.2 ghz temp at idel around 41 c and at gaming load around 45 c that is the nice thing about liquid cooling you dont have the large differnces in temp like with air cooling
  • Pros: found the product very wellbuilt from the housing assy to the pump and lines used are first rate system is run off 120 watt power unit so no power is drawn from your powersupply except to turn unit on ,the unit is almost silent .
  • Cons: none so far

Quiet, Cool

Timothy L., Newegg
18 December 2007
  • Summary: Very pleased with outcome. I will add VGA cooling in the next few months.
  • Pros: Installed with my son in about two hours. Let him do most of the installation, gave cautions and some guidance. CPU installation was easy. System under stress peaks at 120F. Typical temp is 95-105F. Very quiet. Only sound in PS fan and three case fans.
  • Cons: Two things. First, majority of time during installation spent trying to get air purged out of the system. Second, had to get a reference book to see which wires to jumper on the 24 pin MB connector. Instructions said Black and Green wires--I have all silver wires. Price is a drawback.

Truely 100% Silent, Does The Job

Anonymous, Newegg
11 October 2007
  • Summary: This thing really is a marvel. From the moment you open the box, you can feel the quality and precision by which its been manufactured. However, filling it was a nightmare. I poured in the coolent, connected the degassing tube, turned it on, and the alarm started sounding. No flow.
  • Pros: Amazingly silent, cools great.
  • Cons: Difficult to fill, pump is weak but once primed, seems to do the job.
